Mason's having a sleepover at Jacqui's tonight. I've been working in Glasgow for a couple of weeks and he's been dropped off with her for a few days each week for 'daycare', having worked out a complicated shift rota to suit him - its like having a child. I decided to give him a break from the long daily journey on the M8 and leave him with her and her girls tonight. He loves being at Jacqui's and having two female greyhounds to impress and play with (and a real live man, Mason's favourite thing, each day) but my goodness the house feels empty tonight. Just makes me appreciate hime more Marie
Glad to see the man is managing without his mum, it's strange when they aren't home. Some of the pups are going this weekend I may need to get more gin in.
Funnily enough, when I dropped him at the daycare van on Thursday morning, while I'm sure he appreciated not having the long motorway journey, he did not look impressed at the idea of going to the paddock and battling other types of dogs for his sofa spot, and gave me his best hangdog expression from his crate...I'm pretty sure he enjoyed being in a nice, warm house with other groos much better. I felt dreadful cos he stayed with Sara last night and I'm not collecting him til tomorrow morning. It feels like I've been passing him from pillar to post, but it was just a couple of weeks. And Alexis is right, its such a relief to have somewhere he can go where I know he is loved. If things go to plan Jacqui may be seeing a lot more of Mason Marie
