Monthly Dog Walk - MOTHERWELL
Permalink Closed

Hello

Almost into the month of young lovers and valentine's day, so why not join us for a spritely walk around the lake on Sunday, 3 February 2008 at Strathclyde Park.

Iluska & Co will be there from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. at the Watersports Centre (Car Park), Strathclyde Park, MOTHERWELL - Sunday, 3 February.

Come along for a wee breather and meet up with long lost friends and have a wee schnuggle with the dogs!

Look forward to seeing you!

Hi, Blair, Amelie and I would have loved to come on the walk but we found out on Thursday, at the vets, that Amelie is now in season! shocked.gif

We hope to manage along to the next one but think 's advisable to give this one a miss.

It also means that she won't be able to get spayed for another three months.

Hope that you enjoy the walk.

Janice.

Hoping me, Mr Mac and Misty will be there although we need to work out some logistics (usually do a Mother's visit on a Sunday) and of course, Sunday is Superbowl Sunday so I'll have some catering to prepare! Having said that, Misty needs socialisation very much and socialisation with her own kind seems a good way to start.

Plus I've started my campaign for Mr Mac to allow me to get another lurcher once we've got Misty ok with other dogs - sssshhhh, don't tell him!

Anyway, hope to meet as many of you as possible if we make it - please come and say hello to us - we'll be the nervous ones with the grey lurcher who'll either have her natty green coat on or you'll be able to tell her by her distinctive bald patches!

We should also be there with the GAL shop including some nice valentine cards and valentine gifts as well as the usual assortment of coats and collars. Let me know if you want me to bring anything in particular.

......and I'll be there too!

So, if you're interested in taking a football card, or if you would like to volunteer your services to help out at any of the events this year, let me know!

Let's hope the weather is a bit better by Sunday.

Hi

I hope you are all well and nice and snug from all that ghastly weather!

Talking of weather, if it is too horrendous this Sunday, 3 February for the monthly walk at Strathclyde Park, it would be fair to say, it will be 'cancelled'.

Otherwise, we will just wrap up nice and warm and look at the valentine goodies that Claire & Graham are bringing over.

But please, if weather is proving to be too hazardous to drive over and then too horrible to enjoy a walk and a blether, we will see you next month - blimey March!!!

Actually I would've loved to come to this, just to meet the people I've been talking to, and not to mention all your dogs. I am supposed to be walking with Celias greyhound rescue over here in Fife, met them up town etc. But am disappointed though. Is there another one in Edinburgh later? Do the same people go to both?

The Edinburgh walk is on the last Sunday of the month which I think will be the 24th this month. Check out the events section in the main website for details, lots of regulars, including me and Mason go to that onesmile.gif

Hi - sorry we couldn't make it along today - couldn't work the logistics out with mother, supermarket, housework for guests staying and catering prep for Superbowl Sunday! Just too much going on. Hope it was a good day and hope the weather stayed dry and the wind not too howling.

Very much hoping to make the one in March!

Well, it certainly was cold enough today!!!

But, it was dry and with the recent downpours, that is nothing short of a miracle these days.

I hope that all of the hardy attendees enjoyed their walk, and chats.

Thanks to all of those who took a football card or two. Very much appreciated.

If you didn't manage to get one today, don't worry I'll have them on me the next time we have a GAL event.
