Morse had a little accident earlier - I don't think he even realised he'd done it. He was lying next to me on the sofa and as he roached I realised his leg was a bit wet. I cleaned him up but he then did a sneeze/snuffle and I noticed more! I cleaned him up again and took him out to the garden where he had a pee. There was a bit of a damp spot on the sofa where he'd been lying, fortunately the throw got most of it. He usually "asks" to go out and whilst he has been known to have the occassional spate of peeing inside it's been through the night or whilst we've been out and they've been full fledged pee's!

I'm now wondering if he's got an infection/bladder weakness (he's 9) or if he was just to comfy to move. Am also a little paranoid and checking everywhere he's been lying - what if this wasn't the first time and my house actually stinks of pee which i've become used to?

I've checked through all 7 pages in this section and all incidents of this seem to relate to bitches - any thoughts?

Sorry, I can't say I've heard of bladder weakness in males (only females) as you mention. I can understand why you are seeking an explanation as it does help to know of others having the same problem. May be worth a visit to your vet to seek advice.

I similarly have no answer. Mason drips when he's walking quite often, but we've had nothing this extreme.
It may well be an infection. I've found Mason doesn't really think about peeing in that he can walk off while still doing it and either pee on himself or leave a trail on the pavement, it may be an extension of that, but I would get him checked - tbh I say that about any out of the ordinary change cos I'm paranoid.
Hope its just extreme sleepiness!
Marie
