Meet GAL's latest 'arrivals'....they were born on Saturday (9th) and will be available for adoption in around 12 weeks. 10 georgeous Lurcher pups, 6 girls and 4 boys.....
FOR MORE INFORMATION ON HOW TO ADOPT ONE OF THESE BUNDLES OF FUN PLEASE EMAIL ME AT david@gal.org.uk
Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek!!! Want, want, want, want, WANT!!!!! They're just too cute for words. I hope someone near us adopts one (or two, or three, or four.....) so that we can go and visit!!
Aaahhh, so cute, but they always are when they are that size! They are even more fun when they are growing up!!! So hope that all of them find their forever homes........first time round!
Good luck to you all that are trying to home them, and good luck and big cuddles to the sleeping babies.
OK folks, well here's the update on the pups! This is where it gets complicated....OK, to cut a very long story short GAL sometimes work with other charities, well in the last few weeks there's been some mutual back scratching going on and last week 5 young Greyhounds arrived into GAL's care from a charity in Ireland, they were part of a group of 20 greyhounds that were desperately needing homed. In return for taking those dogs the Dogs Trust here in Scotland have agreed to take the pups into their puppy rehoming centre and rehome them all from there.
SO, when the pups are 6 weeks old they are off to the Dogs Trust to continue their very happy lives and GAL now have 5 happy hounds whom were looking for new homes for. I guess I reckon it was a fair trade! The Dogs Trust are probably the best charity in Scotland (behind GAL of course ) and the pups will be well looked after there and go on to find great new homes and in return GAL will now be looking for good homes for the 'Irish 5' - BRUCE, JET, LOSO, HOUDINI & HOPE
sounds like a fair enough exchange Dave!! look forward to seeing photos of the new dogs shortly & wish the puppies a very happy life! Im sure the Dogs Trust will have no probs rehoming them!! Sneaky them getting the easier option eh!!

Hi Folks, thought you might like a final update on the pups! They were 6 weeks on last Saturday and their time has now come to go off to the Dogs Trust, they will be going there tomorrow, however only 8 of them are going as we managed to find homes for 2 of the pups, both of those went to their new homes on Saturday! Hopefully we'll all be abe to see the 'GAL 2' at some of our events soon!!
