Pearly's first Gotcha Day!

One year ago today, Steve and I had the pleasure of taking Pearly home with us. We first met her whilst volunteering over at the kennels at Kelty. Despite her 'special' habits, such as barking constantly at all and sundry and toiletting in her bed almost every night, it was love at first sight. We loved her responsiveness and her eagerness for a cuddle, or to sniff our pockets for a treat. Every week we'd rush up north to the kennels to see her, and it was a very happy day that she came to live with us.

We're glad to say that she's still pretty loopy, and she's settled into the most wonderful, loving, clever, funny, special girl. I'm thrilled to be making this post today. She's our beautiful angel and we love her loads!

Happy Gotcha Day, sweetheart. Here's to many, many more.

Congratulations to you all.

Pearly is indeed a very special girl. The difference in her apperence since you have had her wonderful to see so the changes in her confidence etc must be tremendous!
She must feel very secure now in the thought that she has found a wonderful forever home and no one will harm he again.

So heres to many years of happiness together and looking forwards to reading about Harry's first gotcha day (a few months away I know!)

Thanks, everyone, for your nice words. I know it's soppy, but I just have to look at her wee face and can't help but smiling cos she's so special. I'm sure everyone must feel the same way about their doglets!

Aww Pearly have a wonderful gotcha day and many more to come. Haven't you come on since you found your forever home.....I don't know who's the luckiest ....you,for having such a lovely home, or your mum, for having such a gorgeous dog!!

Happy 1st Got-them Day Pearly!


We're sure your mum n dad have turned out to be everything you could have wished for and a new brother to share them with. You'll have to resign yourself to letting them pamper and fuss over you but it'll keep them sweet so make the most of it!

Pearly and Harry look just gorgeous together.


I think you are quite right - about everyone's doglets being so special to them.  Greyhounds do seem to be very special dogs!
