Arden Grange query

Hi guys - I was easily talked into trying Murphy on the Arden Grange dried food at the SKC show & the lovely guys on the AG stall sent me away with a carrier bag full off free samples to try out & Murph has LOVED them all (chicken, salmon & rice, lamb & rice) - v keen on the salmon one!!

So I am def gonna order him a 15kg bag but not sure which one to go for...bit confused by all the choices on the website:

arden grange website

what is the diff between things like the prestige, graduate (Murph is 20mths old - does he fit in this category?), the classic etc?? are GHs classed as giant breeds? what do you all use?

For those of you already converts - which flavour has proved most popular?? Have you seen big differences in your dog?? ie Ive heard bald patches clear up on this make etc....

Im def gonna order a bag, just dont want to make a mistake as to which one or there will be a lot going to waste! (ps. The rep was only too happy just to deliver 1 15kg to my home which is amasing as I talked to most of the other food stalls there & they all had limits like you must order a min of 5 x 15kg bags at a time!! considering these things have a shelf life of about 8mths (6 to be safe) then thats no use unless you have a Dave sized pack of dogs!!

Hi Suzanne - I use Arden Grange.

It was my intention to put dogs on the same variety, but Suzie (nearly 10) 'expressed' a preference for the Giant Breed type with large kibble.  That is fine because it has extra glucosamine etc., and she is a bit stiff - so that's an excellent choice for her.

However - although Sim would be fine on the same variety - he tends to almost 'inhale' his food.  I thought that he would have to chew the large kibble - but no . . . . . he sucked it up and down the throat with never a crunch of his jaws!  He tends to choke on normal kibble so that was a bit alarming.

I have decided on the classic chicken for Sim and the giant breed chicken for Suzie.  I know - not so convenient buying two bags, but it comes to the same thing in the end.

Following recommendations from some of the forum members, we have recently started feeding our two on Arden Grange. Have noticed a big change with our Sasha who was the laziest grey in history! She has so much more energy and is clearly much happier - she looks absolutely stunning after two weeks. She isn't racing about the house or anything but when we are out at Mugdoch she can fly like the wind - what a beautiful site! Before her poohs were soft and smelly - now they are firm and not so foul - thanks for the tip everyone.

just an update - Murphy has been on Arden Grange Lamb & Rice classic now for a fortnight & Im seriously noticing a difference in him! Not only is he wolfing it down - which isnt like him - licking his bowl clean for ther 1st time ever! but I swear his bald thighs are growing in - could be a coincidence but a very welcome one if it is!!

(also pooing less & they are much firmer....nice )

i cant recommend this stuff enough!!

Murphy for the 1st time in his life has a seriously fluffy tummy! Hair growth is coming on a treat!! As is Maisie who has been on the Salmon & Rice now for 3wks + - she had very dry itchy skin/coat & is now far less itchy & her coat is growing in brilliantly & has gone from dull & dry to soft & shiny!

2 shiny sleek wee happy customers here! & one happy mum.
