Psychic tales.......
Permalink Closed

well...suppose someone outta go first...

not sure what to say really....was a lovely evening getting everyone together - all the dogs behaved impeccably which was most impressive. The lovely Pearly provided the background barking but Im sure Fiona will explain why (via the PC *psychic commumicator* - Anne)

Anne was lovely. I have to state that Im not a believer but just far too damned nosey for my own good...

I tried my damness not to give anything away but Im sure your eyes & body posture etc must give them some leads (ooooh cynic!!)

Ill add more later as it comes back to me but there were a few things she said about Murphy that she couldnt have picked up from any other source IMO...

He went on that he hated others shouting at him (i reeled into a ball in the corner at this point until she stated he was talking about other dogs shouting at him!)

He wishes he could be as big as the other boys aspires to be as confident as they are...he is getting there he says but gets picked on a lot....@ now she could have easily read this by his behaviour with the others by hiding behind Sha etc on the sofa when harry or blue got too close....@

Fair enuff.....next - he asked what a "woose" was....(I burst into tears at this point...). Anne looked at me & I said that I call him that all the time....in the most affectionate manner - when he comes running to me for cover when getting bullied....*big lump in throat*

The only other biggy that she came up with was out of the blue she said he had a foot fettish.....I enquired as to what she meant....he said that I didnt like feet (being licked I presume coz I HATE it!!) Murphy however seeks this out as a means of comfort as he is worried by feet as, as Anne said, he has been stood on many times but he is not sure if its deliberate or not but gets very anxious by it....

My little brother is special needs & accidentally steps on Murphys paws from time to time...

Thats about all I want to share....some of it cut to the quick, some of it was very generic & could apply to any dog to be honest but I still thoroughly enjoyed the evening....

prob a once off experience but a fun one non the less & a good many moved to tears moments had by all the girls about their dogs I think!! (god knows the guys opinion of the evening!!!)

Thankyou soooo much to Sharon for giving us the run of your house & garden!!

I'm not sure if I'm a believer or not - I wouldn't dismiss it out of hand, but some things were, as Suz says, pretty generic. I suppose I wanted some kind of mega-revelation about specific things that would make Harry and Pearly's life better in some way.

Anyhoo, turns out that Pearly thinks she's the "clever one", and that she much prefers girls cos she's been bullied by boys in the past. Kind of true, as she was nipped a few times by boys when in kennels. She feels very maternal and would love a little puppy to boss about (so big Harry is a bit of a disappointment for her!!). She likes things to be in order, and she feels as if she has to take a supervisory role when with lots of other dogs. Hence her barking when in a group, which she doesn't do at home. Apparently Pearly takes her cues from me, and she wishes she could come to work with me and be with me all the time. Strange, as I've always firmly thought of her as a daddy's girl. Anne did say that Pearly says I'm too busy, and she thinks I'm not "still enough". I work full-time and study part-time, so there have been times when I can't go out with them all for the nightly walk.

The thing that I can't get out of my head about Harry (and which got me very emotional for the rest of the night - sorry, guys, for blubbing like a bairn!) was that he said he was taken somewhere with loads of cages, but that he wasn't ready to D-I-E. She said that he doesn't like rustling bin-liners, because he's seen bodybags. He went on to say that if he never saw another vet in his life it would be too soon. As some of you know, Harry was taken to a vet to be pts and was there for a week whilst the police checked out his previous owner's false claims. Moving on to lighter things, he says that he lets Pearly boss him around cos he just wants a quiet life! Apparently the food we give him is "alicious" and that he has bags of energy now. He says that he's trying to be the perfect pet, which in so many ways he very much is. He feels very competitive - which might account for his rough play with Pearly - and says that they both spoiled and have the "life of Riley". Which is nice.

All in all, a few things that were fairly on the money for us, no major revelations, but an enjoyable evening's entertainment. Thanks again to Sha for letting us and the dogs take over your house and garden like that, and for being so tolerant with the constant widdles and, urm, other stuff!

I think I was less of a believer than most, and as such there wasn't much info on Blue. Perhaps it did have something to do with reading Suzanne's poker face? I should point out that if anyone ever has the chance to play cards with Suzanne for money, they should definately give it a go.

Blue apparently has me as his role model, loves me very much, likes walks and his food (though he'd like a bit more food, thank you very much). He also likes doing macho male bonding stuff with his dear old Dad. Strange, I thought that none of the dogs mentioned other family members, also I thought it odd that Blue could converse quite eloquently whist asleep.

That said, it was a nice evening, and quite entertaining all in all.

Yes - it was quite a funny and sad evening evening - entertaining yes but for me there wasn't any bolts out of the blue with info that was only personal to our household. In some way or another all the info could have been gained from this Forum - but that's me being the sceptic. Saying that - I enjoyed it and, like everyone else, ended up saying " ask my dog...this and that.". So there you go everyone got caught up in it all.

What Fiona didn't say was that Harry had "said" he was getting physio on his legs from us - kind of got us stumped as that wasn't true, but then we realised that we rub his legs down after his nightly pee in the back garden to get all the pee pee off his legs! We were told that Harry reckon this is to make his legs better - he has one crook leg.

Also - both Pearly and Harry were treined on live rabbits at some point in their career as racers. Pearly didn;t like the kill much but liked the chase and wanted to slobber over and play with the rabbit. Harry on the other hand took to killing very well and didn't need much prompting. The psychic said he still has to be watched as he still has this in him and can;t tell the difference between small furry dogs and rabbits. OOps!

She said that Harry growls cos he's unsure and wants to establish himself but he's only bluffing - "they don;t know that says Harry" said the pyschic. He's got a crook leg so he's feeling a bit vulnerable so needs to get in first we are told. Oh - and Harry would be an Olympian if he wasn't injured in his career - big and strong and "Daddy's macho boy".

Sharon's superb back garden patio had about a year's worth of doo doos and pee pees on it. Thanks Sharon!

Hi all,

yes it was a good evening,  Janie didn't really say much, not really surprised by that though. The first thing I was told that she had said was that when she walked into the room she said she knew big handsome "Blue", we live in the same place so unless someone told her that before we arrived, that was spot on.

Janie is very relaxed and loves her life, she was one that said she wouldn't change a thing about it, so that was nice (started to well up at that point). She looks on me as her safty blanket, and whenver she is hurt she knows mummy's big box will fix her.

She touched a bit on her very bad phobia of noises, said she had very, very sensitive hearing and gunshots were the worst, due to the fact she had had a horrid life and was used for illegal purposes (upset again), but that she was useless and not a killer, kinda knew that anyway as she will chase but if it stops she just stands and looks at it.

Janie then got the fright of her life as the fan light was turned on and she was terrified, Suzanne said she had never seen that side to Janie before, if she could not stop looking up at it and was trying to hide, she would not come over to the other side of the room, sha turned it off almost as soon as it came on, that has nothing to do with the evening just thought i would share it with you.

Also was told that Janie looks on herself as the "nanny", will have a look round and then just go and have a lay down and observe.

Few other things aswell but thats all i can remember for the moment.

It was a night that was interesting, fun and sad in places. janie slept like a log when we got in, but took her out for a walk first.

Thanks again to sharon for letting us have the use of her house and garden.

Just had another thought. Supposedly, Pearly's first words to Anne were "I'm the clever one". It's just hit me that I am always, always telling Pearly that she's clever. When we were house training her, whenever she did her business outside in the garden I would clap and be really happy and say "you clever girl", which always got her bouncing with excitment. Whenever she does something cute or sweet, or when she's behaving nicely, or really just whenever, I'll say "you're clever" and make a fuss of her. This happens every day, and I do it without even thinking. Anne couldn't have known that I tell Pearly she's clever.

Anne also asked if we check Harry's hips. No, we don't, we said. But thinking about it, when he leans into us for a cuddle, I'll rub my hands down his back and down his thighs and the backs of his legs. He might be thinking this is his physiotherapy too!

Oooh, spooky.....

Wee larf for you - we've taken to singing "So Macho" to Harry, cos he said that he was Daddy's macho boy.

Fiona, that really got to me,   the part where you mention Harry's near death experience (so glad the police were involved though).  Knowing about such an experience just makes us even more glad and feel so lucky to have them as cherished pets   - no doubt the dogs feel the same about us too!!

Hi Folks

Thanks so much for coming, really nice to see everyone and their dogs. I asked Anne about Maisie, she told me she had had a horrific past. She had been beaten, burned, drugged, used as a bait dog for dog fighting and had been subjected to endless torturous abuse. It was very, very upsetting. Anne also said Maisie was the worse case abuse she had ever seen. I asked Anne to tell Maisie she is safe now and will never be hurt again. Anne said she doubted Maisie would cope if she was to be moved home again and that she feels safe and happy with us. She asked me if we could keep Maisie, eeerrrm better ask Paul!!!! Anne said Maisie was very close to me, which she is and would love me to be her "mummy" !

Gawd i truly hope Anne is making it up!

Do i believe? - dunno. I`ve been thinking about what Anne said all day though!

Sha - keep her!! Her story was heart breaking & her heart in turn has been broken to the core but is now well & truly on the mend with you guys loving her!! The four dogs all curled up on the sofa using each others bums as pillows was a beautiful sight!!

Murphy has been very huggy & clingy today to the point of excess...maybe hes just glad he got to tell me to stop calling him a woose!! (how BAD do I feel!!!;)

Have been calling him my big strong confident boy all day *teehee*

I wonder if they run psychic night classes - how easy is it to milk people by playing to their emotions! Your dog is so pleased you rescued him & loves you very much for it & feels safe now & wants to know if you will ever send him away? or can he stay forever? *sniff* - works every time!!!!

ps Fiona - sorry Murphy called Pearly a cow - Im sure he didnt mean it!

Hey,

What can I say after reading the 'readings'!

I can't explain but I do believe animals sre so much more aware than ' educated people' give them credit for.

My own list includes:

  • rescue cat Finn knowing that my flat was his last chance - vet said he was a feral FIV infected cat not worth the bother.  He came to me in a bad way - had to take his chance with 2 dogs. Six years later he has cost less thana normal cat ( don't get him annual shots) he adopted my dogs withhin the week. He has now been with a further 8 greyhound / lurchers. All I can say i create a relaxed environment and some sort of communication happens - me  to dogs to cat and cat to dogs to me.

  • Raisa my labrador and  Rosie my lurcher cross both seemed to speak to me and say their time was up - it was a look, a longing to move on, to give up their decrepit bodies.  All in all a spiritual experience for me. But noless the upsetting and loads of tears.

  • the chilling out of all of my foster dogs - its the look in thier faces - this look like a comfy situation.

However I'd love to have my dogs thoughs read. A very very scary experience. I think I'd be in tears right away.

Perhaps i can arrange soon

Suz - Pearly says she doesn't mind at all that Murphy called her a cow. She knows he loves her really!

Just remembered something else, Ann also told me the reason Janie was not saying very much was because she was the most settled dog and had been in her home the longest, very true nearly 3years.:

I know this was all done ages ago, but just having a look round the forum and found this all really interesting in a strange way .

Does anyone still have contact with the psychic communicator? I can't be the only one being a little curious about what this lady sees/hears from our dogs and with knowing some of the dogs that are mentioned from last year ...well I suppose what i am trying to say is quite like to see if someone could arrange something like this again?

Added this bit: just found another bit about this, Glenda had given details out about this woman before on Psychic Communicator thread, so have her contact details, anybody interested then?

Hi, Siouxie - Steve will go mad at me for saying this, but I'd be interested in seeing the woman again. I'm curious about whether she might tell us anything more/different now that our dogs have been together for a longer period of time (we'd only had Harry for 2 months when we saw her last). Though I'd be worried about her saying that they can't stand each other!!

One tip: I'd recommend that she sees the dogs one by one, or in their 'family' groups. We did a big group session last time and it was a bit muddled.

I'd be interested in this Siouxsie, more out of curiosity as I'm a bit of a sceptic where the animal psychics are concerned. But I love spookie stuff

Suzanne the Maisie story is awful and upsetting no matter how many times I read about it or see the photos I was just wondering if you, GAL or Sha had information about Maisies past before, or if it was the psychic who told you what she had been through?

I would hate to hear anything upsetting about Sunny

Suzanne you seemed a bit of a non believer in your earlier posts, what was it the psychic said that changed your mind.  I'm a believer of human psychics so maybe I can be converted

Hi Landess - we knew some of Maisies history b4 the psychic woman - things like the burning by ciggies etc was obvious as you could physically see them - as were the beatings as you could see the bruising etc, the dog baiting part was mentioned subsequently by the kennels etc- Im still a cynic I have to say - a lot of what was told about all the dogs was very generic & youd just need to be able to read a situation & be very observant to be convincing I think.....

ie Murphy was very shy at that time & jumped a mile whenever the other dogs in the room approached him so she could suss him out fairly quickly...

Im sure she told Phil that Blue liked to run....erm no sh*t sherlock.....

it was good fun regardless but considering it was 40 quid a head I seriously think its a quick way to a fsat buck by playing on folks emotions & love for their dogs....

Oh - get me!! meow!!!

        LOL

We had a similar woman came to our stables and did the horses and told everyone of us that our horse wanted to be a showjumping star!!!! Even the ones who wouldn't jump.

I did wonder if Maisie was still sporting injuries when she saw her, still there are bits about all the dogs that she couldn't have known or do we just adapt things to fit what she says.

At £40 a go she'd have to work hard to convert me

I would be very interested in going. Iam probably the most cynical person you will ever meet when it comes to that kind of stuff.( just ask Glenda about the Most Haunted DVD - spoiled it for her forever apparently)  It would be interesting to see if she could tell me anything about Angus' past. I know nothing except that he was a stray found in stirling and was in Bandieth(?) Kennels when i adopted him from GAL. Jenna, on the other hand, I've had since a puppy and came straight from the breeder, So it would be fun to find out if this lady would tell me stories of Jenna's 'horrific' past and how glad she was that i had saved her etc etc etc. (aren;t i the devious one)

yeah - I was shocked at her saying "Murphy asked me to ask you what a 'woose' was?" - i call him that all the time as he aint the bravest...

but thinking about it Im sure I probably inadvertantly said it to him during the event without thinking & shes been very very observant in picking up things...

oh - i dont know....think I might take it up as a night class tho as you can rake in the cash!!

she got 'bit's about everyones dog right in places but whos to say folk didnt inadvertantly let bits of info 'slip' throughout the evening....dunno Suz - you can only find out by booking her & doing it youself tbh as everyone will have a different opinion on something like this....

I say a fascintating programme a month or so ago by Derren Brown - you know, that magician/mind trick guy.

He did an experiment on diff folk from all around the world. He basically took folk in one at a time - placed his hands on their heads & claimed to read their minds. He then went off & wrote down about 4 sides of A4 about each of their personalities...

the folk then got their 'readings' back & it showed how absolutely gobsmacked they were at how accurate Derren had got them....it was them to a tee etc etc...only for him to reveil that every single one of them (say maybe 50 folk in total) had exactly the same bit of paper, saying exactly the same as the person next to them....they all just interpreted it as they wanted....very clever!!
