dried & cracked foot pads

Just wondering if dried & cracked foot pads is a sign of a problem, or quite usual?  Not all the pads on Max's feet are like that - just some.

On the subject of food pads, last week in a pet store I noticed some cream that can be applied to their pads to stop them slipping about on certain floor surfaces!

Hi

Paw wax/cream is used quite a lot by dog showing folks - it really does stop dogs from slipping. I used it quite a lot when i first got Maisie as we have tiled floors. Don`t think it would beneficial for any other paw/pad problems as its quite grimey as well as creamy - strange stuff!!
