Well I nearly fell off my seat when I read this this morning. The BGRB (British Greyhound Racing Board) has announced a one off fund (of £100,000) which is to be distributed to Greyhound Rescue organisations not affiliated with the RGT....a small step in the right direction by them, GAL's application is in the post!!..


Here's the full press release, I had to laugh at the comment ''I would hope that in the long term some of these bodies will consider becoming small RGT ‘branches’.'' I'll wait till we get some money before pointing out to them that GAL is much bigger that the 2 current Scottish RGT branches put together..

Keeping everything crossed that GAL gets something from this!!  Mind you, £100k isn't very much really is it?!!

At least they took note of the 'occasional requests'. Here's hoping GAL is top of their list and receive the maximum £5,000.

Some good news for us and, as they say, better late than never.


We'll be able to put the money towards helping rehome some of the dogs that the RGT can't.

good luck with your application.  what a lot of twats they are tho, clearly they think the RGT is bigger and better than any other organisation.  if only they could see what you lot do !!!

I wonder if this has something to do with influencing  the Working Groups considering new legislation.


We are a 'caring organisation' donating lots of money to  greyhound rehoming organisations.
