Hi,

Many of you will have read my post - Snap's Face Lift.

Cleo my young greyhound girl,  3yrs old  in September is well settled here now.

She is now testing boundaries and has started reacting to Snap who gets very excited if she see's a fox or  black collie type dogs. Snap has a tendency to go for any of my dogs that get in her way. Mick and trei always jump out of the way. However Cleo has started fighting back.

They go out with muzzles on - ( Monday was a disasterous slip up by me - forgot muzzles due to my tiredness - so Snap suffered and I was hit financially- training is now progressing with a water bottle spray at the ready -  a sqoosh and a firm 'no' when they get excited.

I will keep you posted on progress

Charles

Hi Charles

Hope things work out well for Snap and Cleo and water bottle spray. I had to laugh, though. I had an image in my mind of you as Dirty Harry armed with your spray out and about with Cleo and Snap and saying, "Do either of you feel lucky today? Well... do ya punks?"

Seriously though, Charles - I'll be interested to hear how you get on, and if you can stop them from having a go at each other. As you say, it's all about letting them know who's really in charge.

Charles,

it was interesting to read about the squirty water bottle in the other posting also.  So glad you're determined to stay 'top dog'! And quite right too.  I'm also a firm believer when out & about that I'm 'top bitch' and I'll take the lead!!  I don't think I'll need to use water bottle but just be firm with Tyler when she's being  'bitchy' to Max.
