dear god - can you get chill pills for dogs?? anyone?? Maisie is driving me nutts!!!

She is currently doing the wall of death around the lounge - furniture, rugs, cushions are whizzing about on the laminate & shes discovered that if you build up enough momentum in the kitchen you can make it across the hall & through the lounge using the beanbag as a buffer to stop in one perfect sideways slide!!

The reason why?? Ive no idea - she normally has a 'maddy' each night but burns out after 4 minutes of going loop the loop....

its now 20 mins & counting...we are just back from a 2hr walk! She immediately got chucked in the shower upon return home & has been going mental ever since!

Shower I hear you query?? This is where my radioactive theory comes in...she discovered the BIGGEST bog known to mankind this evening at our usual park...I usually avoid the area but she scooted off b4 I could think...5 mins later this jet black dog came bounding over to me...not Murphy, but Maisie!!! This is no ordinary bog - its like the tar gunk you see in films of prehistoric bubbling ooze! and apparently its Maisie deep!! Only her head was still fawn coloured - the black ooze was about an inch thick & dripping off her!

I was doubled up with laughter by this point! I managed to wash some of it off in the stream but as you can imagine the drive home was with all the windows open

So - Im thinking this prehistoric soup has some sort of strange radioactive 'superhuman' powers!!...gawd - shes onto the toy basket now....elmos just bounced off my head

Oh blimey Suzanne - I hope she's calmed down by now - or perhaps you are lying unconscious having been hit on the head by a hard, flying toy!

Suzanne,

This is the kind of activity I have to suffer nightly with Eilidh. Her appetite for play is boundless and it does drive me absolutely bonkers some times.

Her new game is to sprint, stop just short of Whistler, do a flying leap and then pounce on his neck.  Luckily he's a kind-hearted soul who usually puts up with this kind of nonsense but my heart has been in my throat a few times.

As soon as you find a chill pill for this nuttiness, fire some my way.  I can't guarantee Eilidh will get them but I'm sure they will benefit me just as well.

methinks dave could benefit from chill-pills.  he's the eldest of our two and so laid-back, he's almost horizontal !

just after his dinner (no-one has told him not to excercise within 1 hour of food) he hurtles up and down the hall, thru the lounge, round and round, till he flops down panting.  it only usually lasts about 5 minutes but you can feel the thundering paws thru the floor !  nothing seems to stop him so i doubt maisie can be halted either !

(ps, this is my 200th post!!!)

Hi Suzanne

It's wonderful to know Maisie is tearing about the house like a Tasmanian She-Devil! She's letting you know she's glad to be alive, healthy, loved and full of the joys and good things in life! She's also completely and utterly mad!

It's good to know that Maisie is as fond of thick, oily mud, like Vegas. Like you, I tend to avoid the swampy parts of the park, but Vegas always seems to find a nice muddy hole to lie in!

Christine
