What a truly horrible night (sat) Bovril had a pigs ear earlier on every ,thing ok ,went to bed 11ish up 30 mins later Bov whining from living room.
Let him out for a pee how wrong I was! he tore round the garden chewing grass and pucking eegh it seemed like he was choking this went on all night any way he's been to the vets and he thinks hes bruised his throat with pucking so much. 2 jabs and bottle of tranqs later (havent had to use them) hes loads better has slept all afternoon had his tea and walkies! Mum &Dad not slept a wink but had tea and will be in bed for 10pm.
Have to ring vet in am just to let him know hes ok .Here's hoping for a .good nights sleep.::
Well Bov was very distressed last night about 10 whining wanting to eat grass and looking as if he was chocking or trying to be sick, finally gave him a the tranq (didnt want to) and he went outside laydown got up and had a massive vomit with what looked like undigested hard food!!!!.
I slept down stairs with him just in case but he was fine ,loads better this morning ,just waiting for vet to call back.
He has had a pigs ear before with no problems but wont be having anymore . I was very worried about him ,any way he's lying on my bed sleeping like a baby .
Poor wee lad - sounds as if he scoffed something a bit too big for his system to handle. Pearly did this once, when she nabbed a cooked chicken thigh. She was retching the next day then managed to bring it up. I had a rake through her sick (yes, I know - it's a dirty job but someone's gotta do it!) and found the bone. Thank goodness it hadn't splintered.
I thought all dogs loved pigs ears, but not my Mac, I bought him some and he wouldn't even look at then, just not his thing I guess.!! Thankfully after hearing this!!
