Can anyone suggest a way of increasing calories without increasing the amount of food to give to a grey to help it increase weight slowly ?

I currently use a complete dog food.

Cheers
Katrina

Hi Katrina, try replacing some of the food with cooked pasta, plenty of calories, you could also try puppy food but you need to be careful as the protien levels are very very high which has the potential to effect the dogs behaviour big style....however the best way to increase weight is to simply offer slightly bigger meals for a short period....is there a reason you don't want to increase the amount of food given??..

Thanks for the advice.

I'm already giving three meals a day and don't want to over power the tummy with too much food which as you know could lead to intestinal problems.

I was only looking to boost the calories without having to go to four meals a day.

Zack is SO hungry all the time but poor lad today was only allowed two meals as he was wormed this morning but he will be back the three tomorrow. (He did get a bit extra for his tea).
