Hi there I'm a new user on the GAL Forum but I thought id let you know one of the 28 greyhounds is now rehomed and living with her new brother and sister on the shores of Loch Lomond. We have named her Millie and she lives with Kiera her ex flapping track racer sister and Dylan her beautiful Lurcher brother.
If anyway I can add pix to show you how well she has done since we brought her home in January 2006.
Dave - if SSPCA plan to news release this (and have asked specifically for GAL's help in rehoming) then don't be shy about getting a few words into their news release - quote from a greyhound rehoming expert sort of thing and of course mentioning Scotland's first ever dedicated greyhound sanctuary being on the cards.
As a Rookie am I allowed one stupid question? How can I post pix of my dogs? I have tried but the message says they are too big a size to uploaded!!! DOH!!
The pic of the other rescued greyhound is beautiful and is obviously loving its new home , as is Millie.
Hi Abby's Dad - by coincidence I met you (with Mr. Abby's Dad) in Balloch Country Park this week. I had my two: Sim (white and fawn) and Suzie (white and black) with me and we chatted about greys and the fact that Millie came from the Milton 7.
I saw Millie in Milton before she came to you and she looks absolutely fab now.
Ah of course I wondered when I saw the photograph on your profile. Well you have met the gang, they are all settled in well if only Kiera was less nervous with the gunshots from the hills.
Incidentally I am Abbys dad dont be fooled by the name. ha ha
It's great you've given Millie a new home with you! I'm sure she'll settle down very quickly and get used to all her home comforts. I'm looking forward to seeing all your dogs in your photos and hope to meet you with all of them soon!
Jenny - I just love the photo of Vernon having a snooze on the bed. But there is a suspicious black triangle between the duvet and the pillow. Could it be Ziggy's ear acting like the tip of the iceberg and the rest of Ziggy is actually under the covers and Vernon lying on top of him??
I read this thread when i first joined the forum and it is brilliant to see your dogs happy and loved after what they had gone through. Well done to everyone involved and big hugs to your gorgeous dogs.
