They say owners look like their dogs...Im still waiting to morph into a super fit, lean machine with legs up to my armpits...
Wish we could find who did this and tie their leg to the railway line...can't believe people are so cruel. Maybe it's because we are all such animal lovers that we feel so sickened and disgusted by the sheer cruelty of these events.
Here's hoping poor wee Lily finds a loving home soon..God knows she deserves it.

I read this article ,it is horrendous that poor little mite. You wonder if they owned the dog or did they find it wandering around or was it stolen. Someone must reconise it or something I think people that a capable of this sort of thing are just pure evil and it makes my blood boil.Hopefully she will get a good home in the end.

Absolutely delighted that Lily has found a new home! At least she's safe now and can look forward to recovering from a horrible ordeal. Thanks, Dave, for letting us know.
just a wee note to say i saw the pic of her lets just say the air went more shades of blue than a dulux colour chart.not very nice, glad to hear she rehomed into a loving home god bless her.
There was a good turn out of volunteers at SSPCA Bothwell on Sunday. It was a quiet day but we spread the word about the merits of greyhounds.
Just as we were leaving - Lily turned up with her new owners - they were collecting some paperwork.
Lily looked wonderful. She is a small to medium size brown . biscuit white longer haired girl. 3 legs were no problem. She was very friendly, waggy tail and full of life etc.
New owners say she is getting on well - they already have a a lurcher. Lily gets on great with her new lurcher friend. Lots of running about house and round gaden.
So a real happy ending for Lily after her terrible experience. A very lucky girl.
