Just to let y'all know that I now have a new foster dog. His name is Caleb (previously known as Uri) and he's one of the 17 that were at Bothwell (apologies if Ive got that wrong).
He's settled in very well, making himself comfy on my sofa. He's very quiet and sweet natured and loves his cuddles. He gets along great with my 2, and seems quite content
I'll add a couple of pics when i can remember how!
Jo, All the best of luck to you with Caleb! Sounds as if he's settling in fine and making himself at home already. Please keep us posted on how he's doing.
Well, what can I say, I always expect upset and the odd accident on the first night, what with new smells and surroundings, not to mention my 2 investigating the newbie every 5 minutes, and it must be very bewildering for most dogs, but not Caleb! He slept all night and there were no accidents. I got up this morning and went to let him out, but Caleb wasn't for budging off the sofa!! I had to put a lead on him before he decided to get off of his lazy bum and go out for a wee! The poor wee man is a little unsteady on his hind legs, and my house having laminate floors (not my choice!) doesn't make it easy for him to get about, so I went out to B&Q today (he was fine while i was gone, he didn't leave the sofa lol) and got loads of mats and made a "path" from the sofa, round the livingroom, through to the kitchen and up to the back door for him to get around easier.
He absolutely loves his cuddles and being made a fuss of, and enjoys running around the garden with my big lad Cole, while little Wicket shouts the odds from the patio lol
Just to keep you all up to date; As some of you will already know, Caleb is now in a new foster home as wee Billy's new home didn't work out and he's now back with me. Both my dogs and I miss Caleb loads, he's truly a pleasure to have around, and I'm sure he'll be loving all the attention he'll be getting in his new foster home, and will no doubt quickly claim a nice comfy chair/sofa for himself.
Billy's doing great! He's his usual mischevious self, the first thing he did when he came in, after sayin hello to Wicket & Cole, was stick his head in the bin to see if there was any sweety wrappers in it! Yesterday he tried to eat the xmas tree lights and he's managed to pull some of the tinsel down as well. He's asleep at the moment, halo glinting in the sunlight, as he's just finished his mad half hour running through the house throwing his toys around and attempting to ambush my slippers
Glad Caleb got his new foster home sorted. You've cheered us up with Billy's latest antics. We obviously miss him more than he misses us. He's a very lucky boy to have you around Johanne.

Rhona,
Like you, I missed Billy more than he missed me, and I had him for a month! He is so funny, when I was at Johannes the other day, he was lying on the floor..pretending to be asleep and when he thought we werent looking, he tried to chew the lights at the bottom of the tree!! He is so lucky to have Johanne, but we will always miss him, lets hope Santa finds him a home with a girlfriend for xmas!
Caleb is doing really well in his new foster home (Moira his foster mum doesn't have access to a PC so she can't visit here) anyways he's apparently a 'pure delight' to have around and I'll have a fight on my hands to get him off Moira when a permie home comes along!!
