Hi Folks, I just thought I'd post a wee bit about GAL's very hard working follow-up co-ordinator Carole Robinson, those of you that attended the AGM will know it was Carole's plan to retire in the summer next year however she couldn't wait and had now hung up her follow-up co-ordinators hat for a well earned rest. I'd just like to thank Carole for her great work these last couple of years and I'm sure a few of you on here that have been the beneficiaries of her advice would like to join me!
Siouxsie Parry has now taken over the follow-up role within GAL and I wish her success in her new role, Siouxsie's email address in siouxsie@gal.org.uk and (as Carole always was) is happy to help with any behavioural issues or just down right daft questions about Greyhound related issues!
I will certainly miss Carole. She has given me some brilliant advice and it is thanks to her support that the wee devil that is Eilidh is still with us and is a changed dog today.
She was a great asset to GAL and I hope that she enjoys her rest as she certainly deserves it.
many congratulations to Carole on a job very well done. she helped me with a separation anxiety issue that Daisy had and her advice was invaluable. good luck to her for the future. big hugs and kisses from dave and daisy too
A massive congrats to Carole for all her endless help to all the hundreds of hounds out there that you have helped over the years Carole!
I had a brief taste of how hard your job is but tragically as much as I think I would love the role (maybe in the future...) - i just do not have the time needed with my studies and constant moving about with college placements, to commit to it.
All the best Siouxie with your new role - I hope you have big strong shoulders for others to lean on!!
Carole - you so deserve a good rest hon! You have worked wonders ..... well done!

Congratulations Carole. As all the others have said you have been a great source of strength and knowledge to all whom have asked your advice. You will be missed.
Siousie you will be brilliant. Your love of the dogs and desire to help others is obvious. Good luck!
Carole - I wish you all the best in your retirement and hope to see you at some of the GAL events soon. Your advice and knowledge on our dogs has helped many of us to understand why our dogs act the way they do - and more importantly, how to stop them doing it!
Siouxsie - Congratulations on your new post and good luck!
Thank you everyone for your kind comments and good wishes – but you will still see me at various events (always ready and willing to “talk about grey issues”!)
Over the years I have owned several Chow Chows (very unique characters), but then I had my first greyhound, Ruby, and discovered that there is something about the greyhound/lurcher that just reaches down into my heart and touches my soul and if I have been able to help some of you through the initial settling in period to have that same experience – lucky me!!!!!!!!!
To me you are an absolute star and I am so lucky and pleased to have found an invaluable friend with such great knowledge and kindness, Thank you Carole.
i would just like to say 'Thank you' to all the people who have wished me all the best in taking over from Carole and I hope that I will be as much help to people and their hounds as Carole has been.
