well, i've had my first christmas with (human) children. neil's four children have spent christmas with us for the first time. i was a little worried that dave and daisy (who are not used to a houseful, let alone kids !) wouldn't cope too well.
i needn't have worried tho. they were as good as gold. the kids have made lots of noise, cheering and whooping at their presents, excited about santa etc etc..... dave and daisy have either put up with it or retreated to their beds in a quiet place. i couldn't have asked for a better xmas...... naturally, the doglets have been treated to their own serving of turkey & veg and had their own presents to open but, still, i'm proud of them and their tolerant nature.
i just love being mummy to two such wonderful beings !!!!!!!!
We had a really rowdy loud and hyper christmas day too! We have had Saffron for a couple of months now and with 8 of us in the house (two adults and 6 kids!) we were concerned that she would be upset with all the noise. She really surprised us, she (like yours) coped really well and when it did get to be a bit much Saff just left to lie on my bed till it calmed down a bit.
She is coming on so well. We were worried a bit about her behaviour when we first got her, but she is an angel now and we love her heaps!
Sim came to live with us on 1st December 04, and 10 days later we had a party of about 20 people in the house.
We had decided in advance that - if he appeared stressed (he was very nervous) that we would put him in the car (which we knew he loved). However - he took up his position in a corner of the kitchen and just lay there watching everybody! He staked his claim in our home and wasn't moving for anyone - it was very touching.
Maisie too coped wonderfully with her 1st Christmas - in fact I think she even enjoyed herself - both her & Murf went mad when they saw their token pressies of 2 toy monkeys (for 2 little monkies!)
Murphy was hysterical in that he took his turn in waiting for everyne to unwrap their gifts before gently taking the wrapping paper from them & shredding it into a million pieces. Maisie - after a while of watching this realised what a great game it was & joined in. Thankfully my family thought it was awfy cute & by the end of presents the lounge was covered in confette & 2 happy dogs took poll position on the sofa, happy with their lot!!
They even found time to pose for the camera mid hug....aaaawwwww!!

Murph and Maisie always look so in love when you take their photo Suzanne. I love their santa suits!!!
I'm spending christmas with my sis and family which is great. My 2 year old niece is soooo cute I love her to bits. I was very excited with all the santa stuff this year. Probably more than her!! She does a good soprano scream when excited so I know what you all mean now.
Still not convinced that human children are a good idea on a permanent basis though!
Are,nt they just adorable in their Santa suits, you don,t spoil your dogs by any chance Suzanne. Cas knew the script and showed the way for Sasha ,Sasha seemed rather overawed by the whole thing as she is just not herself just now with being in season in fact she is looking a right wee scruff. A good time was had by all. Nora

Teresa, I'm glad that Dave and Daisey coped with Christmas I think the dogs tolerate anything for a Christmas lunch!
Shelly, I am so pleased to hear that things have settled down for you with Saffron, you had me worried for a bit there! I hoped you would come through and we are all entitled to a wobble.
Suzanne, they look fab in their Christmas clothes, and soooo in love!
