Belle and her littermates Red, Rosie and Purdie all share Vernon's fawn colouring. I thought it came from their mum's side of the family, but Vernon's on their dad's side so who knows?

Jenny,

Vernon looks very like Lulu. The only common ancestor I can see is Sand Man, but he was a white and black dog.

If you go to the next walk at Strathclyde Park at the beginning of April, we can compare them.

There is a GAL dog on the Database site called Annie (Baytown Fawn) who also looks like Lulu. They are half sisters (same dad, Toms the Best). Thats why I thought Vernon and Lulu were related, but they are only about 5th Cousins.

Vernon and Lulu are second cousins...

...they share grandparents on the female side (I Know You & Ballinderry Ivy) who were littermates of Kyle Jack & Ballinderry Sand and that of course makes Douglas & Vernon second cousin once removed..

Its amazing how so may of them are connected in some way isn't it. Vernon is stunningly handsome and I always say how good looking Lulu and Douglas are! Its a good lookin family!

Oooh, exciting! Pearly's dad is also Tom's the Best!! Does that mean that Lulu and Pearly are half-sisters too? If so, this is the closest relative to her that I have found.

One of the homeless dogs, Jacky, is a cousin. Pearly and Jacky have a similar body shape and he seemed very taken with her when they met.

Lulu and Pearly are half Sisters.

I was watching greyhound racing on the TV one night an a GH called Bettathanpebbles won. I noticed that her sire was also Toms the Best. I thought, great what a coincidence 'till I checked out Toms the Best. He's sired over 4500 pups!!!!!! What a guy, he even puts Robert Burns (The Poet, not another GH) in his place.

another connection,........Sand Man is dave(thedog) and daisy's great great grandfather !

dave and daisy are completely different colouring - he's blue and white and she's black and white.

Sand man was also my last dogs great, great grandfather. Sale on Murphy was her race name.
