Just wanted to say thanks for introducing me to Millie. When my last greyhound died i was so upset i could never imagine i could ever replace her, that's when the idea about fostering came into my head. When i met Millie, it was love at first sight! I knew from an early stage that i wanted her to be mine, just had to convince my boyfriend. He too, after just a short space of time has fallen in love with her and her crazy antics. You guys have been great dealing with her "heart problem", she is such a lucky girl. If she had come into my work as a stray or unwanted pet, she would have been out to sleep. There is no way they would have spent the time, effort and money into one dog that you guys have at GAL. I cannot thank you enough for letting me have Millie, she is such a wonderful dog. I was nearly in tears when the vet phoned to say she had the "all clear" as it was such a relief. She has been through so much the last few months with ECG's, tests, etc. The last time (Tuesday) she obviously knew what was coming and i had to physically drag her into the vets. I'm just so glad its over now. THANKYOU

Congratulations on Millie getting the all-clear! That's wonderful news.
I think we can all get emotional about our dogs, and about greyhounds in general. I look at our two and just want to hug them all day long and I tell them I love them at least a dozen times every day. Not sure if they know what I'm saying, but they sure do enjoy the cuddles!
Well done to GAL for all the support, and well done to you, Jennifer, for all your care of Millie. And well done Millie for being so brave with all her tests.

Jennifer what a very touching post. It is great that Millie filled that void in your life and I am sure you have filled a void in hers. So glad that she has got the all clear, you can tell she is what a very happy pooch she is and that she adores you. Nora

Jennifer, just so delighted everything is OK with Millie. It's always a big wrench when we lose a much loved pet, but now you have Millie and I'm delighted that she's been given the all clear by the vet. She's lovely and I hope to meet both of you soon at one of the GAL events!
