South of the border??
Permalink Closed

Hi guys - Dave touched on this in another thread & I thought it was such a good idea that it needed a thread of its own.

A good many of our forum members/readers come from England & sadly cant make the many fab GAL walks that we lot enjoy up here in sunny Scotland (although Im sure you could schedule your summer hols around the GAL events diary! ).

So hows about you Southern belles & folks from further afield all post where you live on here & we can see if any of you are close enough to any other Greyhound fans so that you and your dogs can meet up & then send us the pics to make us all jealous!!

Could be a lot of fun !

hi all.

I'm Teresa, my husband is Neil and our babies are Dave and Daisy. We live in Hastings, East Sussex - couldn't be much further south and still be in the UK!!!  From what i've read on the forum, i don't think anyone is particularly close to us

My friend Kathryn and her greyhound Tia are in Chester-le-street near Durham. She's not online but asked me to post for her as she would love to meet up with other grey owners.

Anyone near her.

The beasties and I are just south of Guildford in Surrey and we are lucky enough to meet up with members of a couple of other sighthound forums for mass walks in the South East...

Here's an example of one of our 'Lurcherish Allsorts' walks!

always nice to meet more hound lovers

What a great photo. Whats that thing in the sky.......oh yeah that would be the sun....we don't get that up here in Edinburgh much. Well not unless it snows or rains at the same time.

Can't wait to walk the dog in a t-shirt if we are lucky we might manage a few hours in July

Love the hairy lurchers they all look so happy.

Great photo, it is nice to think there are other people out there doing the same as us and promoting these wonderful hounds. What a gorgeus group of dogs and Hello to the humans too. Nora

Hello

What a great idea!

I'm Kate and Mum to Amber and Alfie (and Jessie the border collie & 2 cats!)

I'd love it if we could arrange something like this (although Amber tends to refuse to walk further than around the block!  She's getting old but don't tell her I told you so!)  I'm sure Alfie would have a great time though

I'm based in Upper Batley, West Yorkshire (not far from Leeds)

Anyone else nearby?....

Kate

Beautiful dogs in the photo! One or two saluki lookalikes as well! It's a great idea Suzanne had to see if we could meet at points up and down the country.
