Greyhound Awareness League - Online Dog Show - THE VOTING HAS BEGUN
Permalink Closed

Hi Folks, Welcome to PART 2 of the Greyhound Awareness League's Online Dog Show!

We've received an overwhelming response with over 250 entries submitted. The show is now closed for new entries but now we enter the judging phase!

The competition will be judged by members of the public via our Dog Show Website, judging will start today (Monday 20th March). Anyone can vote!

HOW TO VOTE
First step if you haven't done so already is to log onto our Kennel Fund website - http://kennelfund.gal.org.uk/ - and click 'enter the online dog show'. There you'll see all the lovely pictures submitted for the show, you are allowed to vote for the dogs in the following 5 classes -

CLASS 1. BEST ROACH
CLASS 2. FACE IN FOCUS
CLASS 3. OUTWARD HOUNDS
CLASS 4. BEST GROUP
CLASS 5. BEST DRESSED

As you look at the pictures of each dog the more observant of you will notice that each picture has a row of ten white stars below it.  You will be able to use these stars to rate the picture.  The winning picture in each category will be the one with the highest average rating.

When viewing a picture, the current average rating will be shown in yellow stars, and by moving the mouse over the stars, you will find that the stars start to turn green.  You rate a photo by clicking on the stars when the correct number of stars have turned green.  For example, if eight stars are green, you a rating a photo "eight out of ten".   You can rate EVERY picture in the dog show this way but it's important to note that you will only be able to vote for each photo once (to stop over-excited Mums and Dads from stuffing the ballot).

If more than one person in your house would like to have their say, please get together when voting.

Another important thing to note is that this isn't just a photography competition, your criteria for rating a photo is entirely up to you!!

You will be able to cast your votes till Sunday 26th March at which point the dog with the highest rating in each class will be judged 'Class Winner' and go through to the best in show round which will be judged by Annette Crosbie!

Finally thanks to everyone for taking part, each photo submitted has raised £1 for the Greyhound Awareness League's Kennel Fund.

happy voting!!

Folks, just a reminder that if you haven't voted you have till midnight on Sunday 26th to cast your votes both here on the forum for 'Forum Favourite' and at the online dog show site - http://kennelfund.gal.org.uk/ - for the other 5 classes. Remember when voting on the website you can give a mark out of ten for EVERY dog, try not to just vote for your favourite, give all the dogs a mark out of ten as this will influence the class winners!

I think she looks very glam. Like a 50s starlet in a headscarf. All she needs is some shades.
