The warmer temperatures have brought all the frogs out at the ponds round our way, (I noticed as a wandered around the edges), and the 30 second inattention to Biscuit meant that he spotted a poor frog hopping towards the water!! Moved as quick as I could to distract him and managed to save that one. Knowing Biscuit's good memory for these things, he will no doubt return to try and catch one.
That'll be it then, he smelt chicken and made a dash! He's a real rascal when he's out, and open defiance is always on the menu, because as he's still young, he has to find out everything for himself. He will deliberately do things to make you chase him, or wind you up, and because he's so clever, you feel very foolish when he ignores your well meant instructions, because you just know he has made his own decisions! Aw well, all part of his character and confidence.
He sounds like such a character. Your avatar is fantastic, he really is gorgeous, I just want to cuddle him Jenny is right, he is just too cute to be cross at!

I agree he is far to cute to be cross with, it must be hard not to laugh at him when you are trying to tell him off
Valerie I showed my other half Steve the photos of Biscuit in the on-line dog show and he could not believe it was the same little dog we met at Strathclyde Park the day you got him. He said to pass on what a great job you have done and that its easy to see how loved he is He really is looking well. And getting more cute by the day.

it is very kind of you and Steve to compliment our boy (and us) on his progress. He has certainly changed physically, and grown in confidence since we took him on in December. He is very confident around other dogs,(ran with a husky for half an hour yesterday!) and well behaved in ours and other houses. We just have some adrenalin charged frenzies to cope with outside sometimes, which we try to anticipate etc.!!! He's a fast learner, and seems to understand lots of language like "what are you playing at" met with a guilty look! Keeps us on our toes.
Still cute when you know that's my slipper I'm waving above my head for the shot?? Tesco actually do slippers for £5.00 per pair! I do try and remember to hide them!
Funny you mention frogs....was out with the doggies tonight and Harry started lunging at somethig in the dark - had no idea what it was all about until I noticed a big fat toad. Harry seemed very taken by this wee thing and felt he had to snap and growl at it....daft dog.
Yes, it's tip toe time again, especially when its starting to get dark, now that the frogs are out by the score!
You'll probably find Biscuit won't try to eat the frogs (I hope!) One time we had one in the garden, and Max & Tyler only gave it a good sniffing. As it was dark, it took me a while to realise exactly what they were sniffing at!
Love the photo of Biscuit, especially the one you've posted on the photo competition thread - it is definitely a fab 'face in focus' pic. Keep snapping!
