I wasn't going to mention this as it gets sneered at rather a lot - but then I read the reports from your dog psychic session and figured that at least some of you are open to the odd & the spooky
I've been studying astrology in my spare time for years (just for my own entertainment) and although there is really no reason why it should work when looked at logically , it nevertheless does work in my own experience. Not just for people, but also for dogs.
For example, Aries dogs - not easy to train, because they think they are the boss. Taurus dogs (such as Biscuit and Sasha) - stubborn, but not bossy; love their food and their comfort. Biscuit has his Venus in Taurus too, which should make him ultra-cuddly!
My Bonnie is a Scorpio, intense and a bit guarded. She actually carries her tail like a scorpion quite often!
Piper, our new girl, is a Libra both by Sun and Venus - also very pleasure-orientated, harmony-seeking and by nature indecisive. She did not do well on the race track, not surprisingly. Librans like following because it saves them having to make up their mind. If you want a winning grey, you should bet on an Aries, although a Scorpio might do it too.
So, interested? Cross my palm with silver = only joking = just let me know your hound's birthday, and I'll see if there's something interesting in his/her chart.
Zada has quite an extreme chart. She is a Cancer by Sun sign, which should make her quite sensitive, easily intimidated, with a tendency to crabbiness. However, she also has three planets in Gemini, including Mercury which is at home there. That should mean that she is very quick to learn, possibly crafty. Should be good at letting you know what she wants!
She also has two (or three, depending whether you count Pluto which I don't...) placements exactly opposite Gemini, in Sagittarius. That could cause a certain amount of duality, split personality type thing! Moon & Mars in Sagittarius would mean that Zada responds in a very lively, enthusiastic, energetic manner. Tends to be restless.
Venus in Taurus - very very affectionate and pleasure-loving.
Saska's has four placements in Libra, including the Sun and Venus. Venus is at home in Libra which makes it a very strong influence, i.e. Saska is VERY Libran - indecisive, harmony seeking, very loving and affectionate. Really likes a soft sofa and good food. Mars is also in Libra, making her less energetic than your other dog, with occasional bouts of energy, but a lot of lounging around (okay, that just sounds like a greyhound, doesn't it!)
The rest of her planets are spread evenly around the chart which makes her less extreme. Her moon is probably in Taurus (unless she was born late at night) which would make her responses rather stubborn.
This is fun, as I've never met your dogs, hence can't make my reading fit their personality by accident! Please let me know if I'm close.
Millie has three placements in Cancer: Sun, Venus and Saturn (which is very much NOT at home there, therefore can cause problems). Very sensitive, even fretful; ill-treatment would affect her worse than most dogs. Saturn may make her timid and inhibited even with her own people; her Venus would make her very loving, but with a tendency to worry easily.
Mercury and Jupiter are in Leo, which will balance out some of the Saturn negatives above (Jupiter in Leo means extroversion and enthusiasm; Mercury in Leo reduces the tendency to worry but may make her bossy!).
Her Moon is either in Aries or Taurus, depending if she was born am or pm (the Moon changes signs every 2 1/2 days). An Aries moon would make her quick-tempered, possibly aggressive (dodgy with a dog who is easily worried!); the Taurus moon would make her respond stubbornly, 'digging her heels in', defensive rather than aggressive.
Now Blue would be a dog for me - us Aquarians get on particularly well with anything Gemini. He (I'm guessing at the gender as the name could be either) has Sun and Mercury in Gemini; as I said before, Mercury is at home there, and therefore particularly strong. He has a quicksilver mind, very quick learner, very nosy. Possibly restless.
Mars is opposite Jupiter, and Venus opposite Neptune - both are aspects which would emphasise that restlessness, and make Blue quite sensitive. There is a tendency to overdo things.
The rest of the planets are spread all around the chart, no clusters, which means that there are no other very strong influences.
The Moon (always important) is in Pisces, which would make Blue's responses highly emotional. One of my books suggests that he is likely to have adverse reactions to medication.
You have got Sasha well marked, not bossy, loves her comfort and adores food. the one other thing that is different to what you say about Biscuit, Sasha can be quite aloof. Love to hear what you have to say about Cas her date of birth is 20th September 2000. Thanks. Maybe you should charge for this service and make some funds for Gal ? only after you have done Cass, LOL. Nora

If Sunny was born in the first two weeks of July 2000, she has at least four placements in Cancer (Sun, Mercury, Venus and Mars), three in the third week (Venus goes into Leo). As above, that would make her very sensitive, easily hurt, with a tendency to worry and fret, also very loving and affectionate. If she was born in the first three days of July, she would have her Moon in Cancer too, which would make her timid in the extreme, but also quite psychic!
After 23 July, the Sun goes into Leo, which gives you quite a different dog altogether - one who is the centre of the universe, at least in her own opinion. Very strong minded, difficult to train, with a forceful but positive personality. Mars and Mercury are still in Cancer, therefore very emotional! Venus in Leo gives you a very bossy dog, with a sense of drama. Very very faithful.
Blue (indeed a he) is quite a sensitive chap. Although now he doesn't move his bum off his bed he used to follow us around everywhere. He still gets upset at certain noises and smells that must remind him of his past although we have had him for nearly 2 years.
He is quite a quick learner when he wants to be. He learnt how to sit in 1/2 a day with the help of hot dogs.
Medication thing was quite interesting also. Metacam does dreadful things to his tummy and when he has had anasthetic (the tiniest amount the vet could get away with) it took him ages to come around
Thanks for the feedback, Nora. I didn't look closely at Sasha's chart as I wasn't sure if anyone would be interested in dog astrology duh! She has her Venus in Gemini, which should make her charming, but with a certain independence in relationships - maybe that is where the aloofness comes from. The Moon in Scorpio tends to make for quite an intense emotional response.
Cass is a Virgo by Sun and Mars. I was worried about getting one of those - in humans, Virgo is tidy and very organised, also talkative and critical, but how on earth would that translate into dog personality? I imagine that Cass would be quite edgy, tense, nervous, and needs a fair amount of exercise (more than Sasha).
Her Mercury and Venus are in Libra; therefore she tends to be a bit slow to train, but is another lover of the good life. Moon, Jupiter and Saturn are clustered in Gemini, which makes her scatty and impatient.
I imagine Cass as very lively, 'difficult' in so far as she is pulled in different directions by her own needs, and often doesn't really know what she wants.
Murphy is another Virgo, but more so. He has Sun, Mercury, Venus and Jupiter in Virgo - Mercury is at home in Virgo (as well as in Gemini), which emphasises the placement even more. A born worrier, lacking self-confidence, nervous and restless but very bright. Shy and charming. - Does he have 'considerable literary skills'? Ah, that old problem of holding the pen... if only...
Mars opposite Jupiter - same as Blue - therefore restless with a tendency to overdo things. Mars in Pisces, and in conjunction with Uranus means that Murphy is quite determined and that in spite of his shyness he can be quite obstinate. He is very emotional, and I hope he's been neutered... otherwise he'll be off after the ladies with particular vigour.
Moon in Taurus - he needs security more than most, and responds very defensively when his home is threatened (I think this may mean something as simple as barking ferociously at the postman).
Is that the time already? Aargh, so much still to do - I'm so good at sidetracking myself! I have an exhibition in two weeks, and have been printing off invitations while doing these astro-exercises... but must now go and do some 'proper' work. Will be back at some stage to do more charts if required.
thanks for doing the reading for Biscuit. I would say it is all accurate - he is very food orientated (cos I read with wonder at the dogs on here who can be picky!!) The cuddly bit I would say is where he uses his intelligence to get his way. If he gets a proper row in the house, he will sook up rather than be stubborn, but the stubborness does come into play outside where there are many more distractions, and he wants his own way.
Listen and watch your dogs, they will show you all you need to know! Sorry guys but i thought it was enough that humans listened/read this stuff about themselves but about their dogs too! My eyes have been opened today. Yeah, yeah, throw the tomatoes at me! What do i know i'm just a human! No offence intended to anyone!!! Mabel.
I take my hat off to you , you have Cas to a tee. When playing she is very vocal to the extent of noisy and lets you know if you have touched her the wrong way. She is a very strange dog and will do something for you one minute and the next digs her heels in. She goes into huffs and as you say likes lots of excercise. Sasha is very charming but if she does not want to respond she completly blanks you. Thank you.
Know what you mean Mabel, guess the watching of our dogs makes what is said connectable to their personalities. No offence taken and yes I do read my stars every day, hands up. LOL Nora

Definitely interested. I know Peter and I are both Taureans and we're so obviously Taurus in our natures it's quite comical sometimes. Daz's birthday is on March 21st 2001.
You have pretty much summed Millie up perfectly!! except the bit where you said "An Aries moon would make her quick-tempered, possibly aggressive (dodgy with a dog who is easily worried!);" She is never agressive towards other dogs although can be a bully if she thinks she can get away with it, but not in an aggressive way

Hi all, thanks for the feedback! Not bad for completely blind readings so far.
Re. Millie - as I said, her moon is either in Aries or in Taurus. It changes midday, I can't know which one without knowing her time of birth. Does the Taurus moon fit? the Taurus moon would make her respond stubbornly, 'digging her heels in', defensive rather than aggressive.
Mabel, fair enough - you don't need astrology to know your dog, and neither does anyone else. It's just for fun, and I can't defend it scientifically. However, as a typical Aquarius that doesn't bother me in the least To be honest, I haven't done my own dogs' charts in any depths, only glanced at them. Knowing them so well (esp Bonnie) would make it impossible for me not to 'make things fit', which is why this is such an interesting exercise (I'm learning lots).
Will do the other charts, but it may be a few days. Talk amongst yourselves in the meantime or make some donations to the kennel fund if you like!
WOW look what you've started, bet you wish you hadn't asked now Your going to be very busy.
Sunny must have been born at the end of July as she is nothing like the first dog you described but VERY like the second Especially the hard to train bit she has no recal and I have totally given up on trying to get her to sit.
Well done this is really interesting, its grest reading about the dogs I know and thinking god thats just like them.
Landess and Sunny

Yes this sounds like her! If something doesnt go her way ie - she cant get on the sofa when she wants, she behaves like a spoilt child and almost goes into sulk mode!! Or when i want her OFF the bed, she really digs her heels in and have to drag her off. There are many other examples of this behaviour in her but i havent got room to write them all

Anyanka, I've bought two bricks in the Kennel Fund's "buy a brick" campaign. One for each of your readings for Harry and Pearly - they're going to be called "Anyanka's Astrology". I can't wait to see what you read in my two's charts. I'm an Aquarius too so I'm with you on finding this whole thing fascinating.
