Goodness me, doesn't time fly when you're having fun? Two years ago today, our little princess Pearly came home with us. We met her over at the kennels in Fife and it was love at first sight. The woman who ran the kennels thought we were bonkers to be so set on Pearly, cos she barked all the time and would poop in her bed. But, to us, Pearly was always happy and friendly and ready for a cuddle and a biscuit. It was some time before we could take her home as we were in the process of moving house. GAL don't normally 'reserve' dogs but we're so grateful that Dave made an exception in this case.
Pearly had never been in a house before so everything was new and a bit scary. She fussed and paced and followed us around and cried and panted and cried some more for the first few days (poor Carole Robinson must have been sick of us calling her all the time......). However, a great big thick 13.5 tog duvet in her bed soon sorted her out. She was told to go to her bed, and she did! Cue some peace and quiet for everyone, and much-needed rest for Pearly.
Two years on, she's still as funny and eccentric and loving as ever. And if you've ever met her at a GAL walk or other gathering then you'll know that she still can be a bit vocal! She's quiet in the house, honest! Pearly loves chicken, squeaky toys, getting her tummy rubbed, clicker training, eating poop (one of her less endearing traits!), running round 'her' fields and snoozing in the sun. She's the sweetest, most loving little thing and we just can't imagine being without her.
Happy 2nd Gotcha day Pearly, you are one lucky grey to have such devoted people like Steve and Fiona to be your owners sorry Mum and Dad. I do not doubt for one minute that you are being spoiled rotten today as every day, have a good one. Nora and the Gang
