Hi Folks
Just wanted to keep you all up to date with the recent changes to the Committee.

As you all know Dave resigned as Convenor, despite trying heroically to cope with a huge workload, he realised he had to concentrate on what he does absolutely best. Working on saving as many greyhounds and lurchers as GAL possibly can and keeping the GAL finances in the black.

Below I've listed the changes to the Committee and I would just like to welcome and thank GALs new Committee members for volunteering their services to the cause.

Glenda Young is new Convenor
Linda Chisholm is new Volunteer Co-Ordinator
Lita Bannerman is new Membership Co-Ordinator
Carol McLeod (as Events Co-Ordinator) has joined the committee
Jason Lang will take over as Secretary from June
Newsletter Editor is now Christine Young

Despite changes to the committee and people leaving or staying GALs priority without question will always be:
• the dogs currently in GALS care
• the dogs that will be in GALs care in the future
• the dogs that have been in GALs care in the past.

We are all surely a part of GAL because we are in total agreement with the above and whatever our opinion, personal or otherwise of any person/s involved in GAL the message remains the same, the saving of dogs lives is paramount.

Some of the decisions the Committee have to make won’t always be the easiest or the quickest but they will have been discussed fully and agreed upon democratically.

As volunteers and members your contribution whether it be time or financial help, no matter how big or small is absolutely and hugely appreciated by GAL.

Let us all please remember why we became involved with GAL and by working together in a courteous and professional manner we can continue to save the lives of the dogs we all love so passionately.
