Our two never snuggle up together, but there's definite signs that they can work as a team when they have to.
They always help each other out with itchy ears. From time to time you'll see one or the other scratching an ear, or shaking their head, then the other comes up and starts licking the ear. The look of ecstasy on the face of the "lick-ee" is a sight to behold, though I dread to think what the "licker" gets out of it.
Our Belle can't open the back door when she wants to come in from the yard. I don't know why, Theo has no problems opening the door. Three times now I've seen Belle fussing on the doorstep and Theo gets up from the sunny spot he's been lying in, opens the door for her, then goes back to his sunbathing.
Mine definately do not do teamwork! Millie is far too stand-offish to do anything much with the other two. Tigger and Wills will play together quite happily but that's about as close as it gets. Millie will occasionally deign to join in.
The only time I've seen anything close to teamwork is when they are wet, I have a towel and am trying to dry one of them off and Tigger comes and licks along the back (only when it's Wills) to give me a hand.
Don,t know about team work but if Cas wanders to far away and I call on her, Sasha rounds her up and teases her to come back. If one is on a bed the other wants, she fiegns play mode till the one lying down gets up to play and then she hops into the bed. DOH ! Nora

Yeah, Nora! Vegas has been caught out like that too! One of my sister's beagles decided that Vegas had hogged the couch for long enough, so she came sprinting into the lounge, flung herself over onto her side and yelped. Vegas jumped down to see what was wrong with her and the little minx jumped up on to the couch! The expression on both dogs' faces was a picture. As you say, not exactly teamwork, but very clever all the same.
