Well it didn't take long, but yes we've adopted another grey! We felt Dan was a bit lonely as he's always been with other dogs so today went to meet Sally to see how they'd get on. She ended up coming home with us!!! At first we weren't sure how we'd fit them in the car, I've only got a VW Lupo, and with the back seats down it's a squeeze for Dan alone. But Sally and him cuddled up quite the thing. After getting them home she ran about the house exploring then we took them a walk round the woods and they both smiled all the way.So she's now lying comfortably in his bed while he's stretched out on the couch. It all appears to be going well, except for one of them peeing on the rug in the living room (not sure who), but we'll let that pass just now and keep a close eye on them.
Greyhounds addictive, never!!!! (photos to follow)
that's fantastic news! Well done on another new addition to the family - bet Dan's delighted! Can't wait to see the photos! We just have Tilly right now but would love to get another at some point infact to be honest we'd have a housefull of greys if we could!! Looking forward to hearing all about their escapades!
AWWWWWW ! When Danny met Sally, it is so sweet. Congratulations on your new addition, by the sound of it they are a match made in heaven. One is never enough. LOL Nora

on a sensible note - i do think animals should have at least one friend of their own kind for company, i've always had two dogs at a time. of course, i'd be happy to have LOADS more greys but can't
when i win the lottery and give up work, have a huge house with masses of acres..... well, there'll be no stopping me !! lol
Yip one is never enough We now have two Sunny and Zoe get on so well and Zoe settled so quick you would think she had been here forever Also its taught Sunny to play and she just seems alot happier having a friend
I hope Sally settles as quick for you, it sounds as though she is already a bit smitten with Dan
Hope to meet you at one of the walks.
Landess, Sunny and Zoe.

yip, the skinny dogs certainly are addictive! We usually wait about 4 - 6 weeks before we adopt a second dog to anyone but in this case Dan was so settled and he's such a good dog we figured a bit of company would be great for him! Can't wait for the piccies Jax!!..
Dan and Sally are a match made in heaven! Dan has settled even more since Sally arrived, no whining at all now. Sally's getting into the swing of Dan's lifestyle too, this morning I had to wake them both up for their morning walkies, Dan upside down on one couch and Sally upside down on the other!!! It's getting a bit ridiculous how lazy and contented they are. But it feels like we've had both of them forever and there has not been one moment of animosity between them. No separation anxiety to speak of either, we left them this morning for over an hour and I don't think they even noticed! Sally's off to the vet tomorrow morning for an MOT, fingers crossed she's braver than her big brother.
