Well, Landess and I had our long-awaited car boot sale today. All I can say is, we must really love greyhounds to be hauling ourselves out of our beds at 5am on a Sunday morning! But it was worth the early rise. We raised..... wait for it.....
£335!!!
Woo-hoo!!
We priced the goods to sell and we didn't stop all day long. We didn't even manage to get a cup of tea! But what a lovely surprise when we counted up the booty. Both of us were a bit teary, and very excited.
To anyone thinking of doing a car boot sale for GAL, we'd highly recommend it. Even the dodgy weather didn't hamper things too badly. It's hard work but we had loads of fun and met some really kind people who didn't want to buy anything but gave us a donation anyway.
Finally, Landess - just to say that I really enjoyed working with you today. Maybe next time we meet up we can try again to have that cuppa:
I've just managed to haul myself off the couch after that much need cup of tea
Today was great fun and I'm really pleased we managed to raise so much for GAL. You wouldn't believe the things people will buy. Fiona makes a mean sales woman I tell you
It might have been an early start and we had to stand in rain and thunder but it was worth it and I would recommend it to anyone with a garage or loft full of junk to give it a go.
Can I just say thank you to Nikki and the others who dropped off car boot donations at the last edinburgh walk.
Well done Fiona I hope your sitting with your feet up and a large drink. I will sleep well tonight
Landess,Sunny and Zoe

I have some stuff that is suitable for the next car boot sale, so am wondering what I should do with it? There is still a stack of money to be made from it! Who wants it? Or can it be stored somewhere till the next time? I'll be at the Hot Dog show in Edinburgh and could hand it over then.
