Hi everyone, Hope you like my new arrival. She came to us yesterday (thanks again Lita and John for bringing her). Her name is Sassy (jim's palace) and she was 2 last month. She is very timid and jumps at her own shadow but she loves cuddles and is not fazed at all by Neo, who is doing his best to ignore her at the moment!!
Dave tells me she is a Greyhound but i have my doubts...the pictures don't really show how tiny she is and i'm convinced she is a Yorkie in disguise. She loves to be groomed and had her first bath today ( my son's face says it all when he reached out to pet her and realised she was still damp ) but it will be a while before all the brown kennel coat goes and her baldy bum is covered. We love her to bits allready and think she looks gorgeous in her new house collar, hope you all agree.
Now if i can just get her to stop jumping out her skin when she's out for a walk then we will be on a roll.
Aaaww Gail - she's beautiful! I just love the expression on your son's face as he's touched a damp bit! Hope to meet you all at one of GAL's events over the summer.
Yes she was at the kennel for about three weeks and then went to Johanne for fostering. She tells me that she loves to play so i'm looking forward to seeing her coming out of her shell. She is very jumpy outside but i think she is going to be a real cheeky girl when she settles in.
She is very gentle and i have no hesitation with her being near the baby allready, this morning she came up and gave his hand a little lick, looked straight into his eyes then put her head on his lap, it was so touching
I'm certainly not as smug as i was when i laughed at everyone's stories about all your dogs pinching things!! Neo doesn't steal..Sassy certainly does. She nearly had my dinner last night and when i was putting out their food i turned my back for a second and she was up on the counter stealing it before it was put down, with Neo looking at her as if to say "now why haven't i thought of that"
I can see we are going to have a lot of fun with this wee girl....
Aww, that great she's got a home. We met her when we were taking her from Langbank to Johanne's.(Plus we got to show Rachel & Eddie how Kai is getting on) We went the scenic road through Largs etc so we could beach walk the dogs, but it was bucketin' rain! She didn't make as sound all the time I sat with her, just cuddled
Think she was pretty cumfy cos she wouldn't get off the back seat when we arrived at Johanne's and had to be lifted oot!
So yup, she's a wee doll and I wanted to take her home.
yes she did come downstairs for 2 minutes, had a cuddle then her head went back under the bed
Third full day and i've had a breakthrough..she is now on her bed in the lounge Now if i can only get her to venture outside we really will be getting somewhere. All my neighbours think i've got a bucking bronco instead of a dog and the three guys standing at the bus-stop last night when she bolted, wrapped her lead round me and the nearest tree and tripped me up are probably still laughing!!!
