We have just returned from a fantastic week at Kelso. Blue had great fun and is exhausted. It was wonderful to not have Blue on the lead for a whole week. I think his face in the first picture says it all









It was strange looking at the guest book and seeing so many names I recognised and seeing Blue on the Gal calender when we arrived.

No offence to anyone else reading this but he has to be the most beautiful blue couloured dog i have ever seen. I don't know anyone with a blue greyhound in this area so have not really seen one up close but the photo's are so clear they really show his amazing colour and condition.


He looks like he was having a ball and deserves every minute of it, gorgeous boy.

Gail, I agree, he is THE most stunning blue i've ever seen.  He certainly looks like he had a terrific time on holiday.

Thanks for all the nice comments about Blue. Apparently there is a myth that blue dogs make rubbish racers so that is probably why you don't find many

We didn't realise what a stunning colour he would be when we got him as the little fur he had was a horrid dirty brown as Jennifer who rehommed him to us could confirm

I would recommed Westwood house to anyone the freedom is fantastic and sitting watching king fishers early in the morning whilst drinking my coffee was magical.

WOW he looks lovely , what a difference from that skinny, tattie looking tufty, bald thighed dog you picked up from seafield kennels. You must have done wonders with him as he looks wonderful. You can tell by the look on his face thats he's really happy and content. Glad you all had a good holiday

Amanda, it looks like you all had a fantastic holiday. I'm very, very tempted by Westwood House. Do you have the whole grounds to yourself?

Yes you have the whole grounds to yourself and it is totally dog safe unless they swim off! A wall surrounds the property. You have the river right next to the house and a short woodland walk takes you to a foot bridge that leeds you to your own private 9 acher island. We did see a cat once but Blue was so knackared he didn't notice it!

The house itself is so relaxed and very few limitations are put on dog owners a blanket to cover the sofa if your dog gets on them and clearing up the lawn is all they ask.
