I saw another rescue centre had pockets sewn on the sides of the "I need a home" coats that they used to encourage people to put donations in.

I was wondering if this would be an idea Gal could use. People obviously don't carry the collecting cans to all the events but if a couple of homeless hounds were in the usual jackets but with pockets sewn to the sides with some slogan on them to encorage people to put money in.....

Just a thought

I like it! Any way of making it easy for people to give money is a great idea in my book.

While your at it with the sewing kit could you make some of those bandanas like the Dogs Trust have, but make ours red with GAL on.

At the rate the coats seem to be disappearing, there will be no coats left to sew pockets on to.

Yeah, the phantom coat snatcher is on the prowl, you have been warned! I took 7 coats to the GALa last weekend, came home with 3!

That is sooo weird!  I can't understand why anyone would want to take a coat home with them.  A greyhound, yes, I can understand that (all too well) but just the coat!

Are the dogs eating them? They seem to eat everything else they can get their paws on.

Hmm, now that's a distinct possibility!  Caught one of mine eating a sweet wrapper earlier today.    Managed to fish most of it back out her mouth but I think I may have lost one bit of it!  The things she'll do to try and get chocolate!!!
