Hi Folk's last throw of the dice for Murphy, mentioned in an earlier foster appeal but haven't managed to move him yet, his time is up on Wednesday (2nd August) and I really need a place for him!

Murphy is a 7yr old 'Lurcher', GAL rehomed him 4 years ago but due to a change in personal circumstance he's back looking for a new home, I'm afraid much to my dissapointment the change in personal circumstance means Murphy's current owner would rather kill him than have the dog accompany him to a new house.

Murphy is fine with other dogs but does not like cats or children (he's OK with kids 12+) If you can help please email me on david@gal.org.uk

Shame he isn't suitable for a house with younger children. I just love his eyebrows

I am amazed that someone can adopt a dog from an organisation like Gal knowing they have had a bad past life and then a few years down the line decide they would rather have the dog killed as it doesn't fit with their circumstances

The poor boy I hope someone comes through for him

Well done for taking Murphy

I think he looks like a fantastic boy, love the fact that he goes everywhere with his tennis ball

Well Done Kirsty and it was great to meet you and your family today - can't wait to hear about how Murphy is doing and seeing the photos too.

Its the first time I've been on the forum for a few days and I saw the photo of Murphy. He's gorgeous! That's great news about getting a foster placement. It's also shocking that his previous owner would have considered him being killed! Good luck for the future Murphy, looking forward to updates on your new home.

Murphy has arrived with his 2 tennis balls and he is a lovely chap! He's a bit fat, smelly and very hairy but I'm going to give him a haircut tomorrow so I will post before and after photos so you can admire my styling techniques. His nails are a bit long as well so there be getting trimmed - you can hear them when he walks and one is actually a little curly. Once I've tarted him up abit I'm sure someone will adopt him!

I just think the owners had a lot to worry about with ill health and just couldn't manage anymore. They were really upset to see him go!!

Thanks for all the goodluck messages!

First amusing Murphy story.... Walking round Kelvingrove Park Murphy dragged me into a bush. What does he come out with- a tennis ball!! There are tennis courts next to Kelvingrove Park and one must have bounced out. The thing is that he couldn't have seen it cause it was right under it and he had to put half of himself in the bush to get it. He's obviously very tuned into the smell of new tennis balls. So soon I'll probably not get out the door for them.

Murphy is clearly trying to help GAL's car boot sale efforts by boosting the stock of tennis balls! 3 for a £1! Way to go, Murphy!!

And he has only just arrived with you....At this rate you could have your very own ball pit in the garden!!
