Those photos are of my folks house. Took him up so someone could hold his head for me! It has taken us since 11o'clock this morning until about 4 this afternoon to trim him all. He is still a bit uneven but I am going to go over him with a comb and remove all the dead hair before I take anymore off. Took him to the vet this morning to get his nails clipped as they were really long and black so I didn't want to hurt him. Told her his story and she gave us the pedicure for free!
Ye he was great! I think it was a relief to get all that hair off!! He got a little bored towards the end and tried to eat the clippers when I was doing his neck but apart from that he was perfect. In fact I'm quite attached already!!
He's lovely, Kirsty! He looks so much better and more comfortable getting all that loose hair clipped off - and he'll smell sweeter too, no doubt. Looking forward to hearing more about him!
Ye he is sooo chilled out! Tonight my pal came round for tea and she made a big fuss of him which is saying something cause she's not that mad about animals. Then we went for a pint and Murphy came and sat on the couch in the bar- my friend owns it so Murphy is allowed special privileges (its a quiet wee place no loud music or anything!). Then we walked my friend to her house and Murphy got a biscuit and I had a cuppa and then we came home! A super dog!! Great company! Plus we met my friend and his wee rescued staffie x- Bella and they got on great! Murphy's owners said he wasn't that keen on girl dogs but he's been fine on all the occassions we've met any so far! Anyways no rush to find him a home Dave!
Wow what a difference a hair cut makes. Sounds like a great personality. I think you are smitten already. The tennis ball under the bush story made me laugh out loud!
Is Murphy still looking for a home? I spoke to Kirtsy at the Strathclyde fun day and thought she said she was keeping him, but i have just looked on the rehoming pages and he's still there
