What brand do you feed
Permalink Closed

I admit it.  I'm obsessed with researching and trying to always find "something better" to feed my dogs.  I got to wondering if I'm alone in this crazy bag of food.  Then I wasn't sure whether the UK and Canada even have the same brands of food.  And then one step further, I wondered whether you feed all your dogs the same food and if there are any raw feeders here.  Oh, and then of course there's the whole "supplement" question.  So...I've love to know what you're all doing.

I feed Taylor 1/2 prescription I/D by Hills and the other half is Solid Gold Beef & Barley.  I then give her some bananas, pumpkin, sweet potatoes, rice, and ground beef once in awhile.  She has Irritable Bowel so I have to be careful with her.

Raven is on prescription food as well.  She eats Euchanuba fish&potato which is the only food she can eat.  She has Inflammatory Bowel Disease.

Kiki eats 50/50 raw diet and Evo Red Meat mixed with Solid Gold Turkey/Salmon and then of course a tons of add ins like Taylor but he also gets yogurt, sardines, Wysong canned rabbit sometimes.

I love supplements too.  Taylor gets Solid Gold Seameal and Yucca.  Kiki is on The Missing Link, Prozyme, an Omega 3-6-9, Cold Pressed Salmon Oil and Acidofilous (sp?).

I tried my 3 on a few different brands but have eventually settled with James Wellbeloved. Its quite expensive but they all like it, they have nice firm poo's.  Once a week, i add in a tin of sardines in their meal and of course they get lots of treats aswell

We feed Blue Arden Grange Lamb and Rice with the occasional tin of tuna/sardines/mackeral on. He also gets a pig's ear now and then and what ever he snaffles when I'm not looking - that list is way too long to mention

I only ever feed Neo dried food but add some gravy to it now and then to add more flavour. He gets the usual stuff added a couple of times a week (sardines, tinned tomatoes etc) as well as his treats, cheese and hot dogs are the favourite for training sessions but to be honest he really is a dustbin and would eat absolutely anything...and suffer for it too!! ( actually maybe i would be the one to suffer having to clean up the result at the other end!!)

Rosie is fed on Beta Maintenance and she gets a coule of fish oil capsules for her coat. We tend not to give extras, but if we do she gets gravy or some cheese. The fish oil has improved her coat 100% and I would definetly recommend them if your dogs coat is looking a bit dull!

I feed Janie on Arden grange too. We also went through numerous foods till we found Arden Grange and that seem to suit her really well.
