My leaving present

I left my job recently and when asked what I would like as a leaving present I said a donation to GAL for the kennel fund. I worked with a very very small group of people and they very generously donated £50, which I think is really good. (I also got wine and chocolates for me!) However, the cheque is only made out to GAL, but that can be changed.

That's brilliant Fiona, what a lovely thing for you to do. I have read your post about Ace and although you are thrilled with your new job i bet you will miss your very generous colleagues. Hope you enjoyed your wine and chocs!!

That was really selfless Fiona - to forego your leaving gift in favour of a gift for GAL.  I admire your dedication.  Well done, and enjoy the wine and chocs.

Fiona, what a lovely gesture. 


I will complete 30 years service next July (you'd get less for murder!!) and you have inspired me to part with some of my long service award to GAL.


As I have a very bad memory - please feel free to remind me, lest I forget !!

Thanks, I just thought the dogs need their kennels more than I need another necklace or whatever. The wine went down a treat (I LOVE wine!), but the chocolates still remain untouched - I must be odd!

Fiona, may you have wine whenever you want it and certainly whenever you need it! It was very kind of you to forego your leaving present and think of the dogs instead. I wish there were more people in the world like you.
