We had a minor disaster last Sunday. Weekend started badly if truth be known. We'd been on holiday for a week and the dogs were being looked after by family while we were away (eternally grateful to them). Before we went, I'd noticed a lump that looked like a wart in Tigger's ear. When we came home I checked it on the Friday night and this had grown larger and half had gone black. Trip to the vet on Saturday morning just to get it checked out. Vet said it was a wart and they'd remove it when she gets neutered.
Sunday mid-day - took dogs out for a walk and stopped at a field near home to let Tigger off for a run (are working on recall while we're at it). Millie was having great fun chasing Tigger round the field but then, when Tigger slowed down, Millie collided with her. Result - gaping cut on Tigger's side and a vet call out. Poor Tigger has four staples in her side and will have them in for a fortnight. She felt very sorry for herself on Sunday night but is now completely back to normal and causing no end of mischief. Keeping her quiet is next to impossible! We'll be extremely glad when the staples come out again!!!
So glad Tigger is OK and almost back to normal, Karen. Poor Tigger, he's been having an awful time lately. Hope when his staples are out, he feels a lot better.
Poor Tigger, we send her a big hug. I hope the staples are out soon, I know when I had my Tiger here poorely Chad was a boisterous bumping hound and impossible to keep still.Lets hope she heals quick and Millie does not bump about too much with her.
Ooyah! It's incredible what damage they can do with their high-speed collisions. Hope Tigger recovers fully very soon. Though it sounds like she's feeling fine on it!
