Hi, was looking to see if any of the lanarkshire folk on the forum knew of any reliable dog walking services or day kennels. i live in uddingston and work in east kilbride so if it came to it i could drop Ozzy off somewhere on my way to work. I went back to work last week and Oz was all sorted with  a dog walker but it's all fell through after a week!

thanks. karen

Wrong area for me Karen but hope you get something sorted out, there is nothing worse than well laid plans falling apart. If i lived closer i would have happily had him during the day for you. hope you find something soon.

Try asking Siouxsie (Follow-up Co-ordinator) or Dave (Homing Co-ordinator) (I'm sure you can PM them through the list of users) as I think that one of our GAL Volunteers does pet walking/sitting in the East Kilbride area.

Hi,

May I ask who you have got to do the walking with have Martina & she is fantastic. She also has them board in her home when we go on holiday. "A dogs life"

Hi Kiera,

i think i got stuck behind their van at Bothwell castle at the weekend! i got a business card from her but i ended up going with a local company called Katara's K9's. Its a fairly newish set up and the girl does mainly boarding for dogs; she works quite near where i live so she pops along in her lunch hour. It's worked out really well as Ozzy gets a 1 to 1 with her and he seemed really taken with her when she popped round the other night. so, happy hound, and less stressed me, as im not having to dash home at lunch time for a hurried walk!

Hi,

Glad to hear you are all sorted.

I have heard that she is very good aswell. It is such a relieve to know they are out & about & not in the house all day. Martina comes 3 times a week & when I went for a walk with Martina & the 6 dogs Keira & Lachie were different dogs. It has helped us to see what they are like when they socialise with a big crowd. It gives me a big smile when I see them out with their friends!!!

Also someone at my work went : You have a dog walker, do you still have to take them out at night!!!

This women does not have any pets thank goodness!!
