I know a lot of you will think us very cruel but Blue is not allowed on the furniture.

This is what I found when he heard his Dad go out. He must of thought we had all gone because he had soon made himself very comfortable.

Theyre very cheeky arent they!! I love his ears! He's a lovely colour too. Dont worry Blue your not the only one not allowed on furniture, none of our dogs are allowed. But Rosie is the only who tries to clamber up when no-one is around! She's always caught though!

Amanda, what a beautiful photo!     Cheeky boy   I think he just wanted to pose!!   If you hadn't caught him, no doubt the tell-tale hairs left behind would have given it away later

P.S. this is not cruel at all - it is your preference and besides, Blue will no doubt have his very own nice comfy bed (but suppose the grass always looks greener on the other side!)

Definitely not cruel! We've never let ours on the furniture and we've not heard a complaint!!

Blue is beautiful - you must be very proud of him!  He has a look on his face that says "cr*p, I've been caught"!!!  Nice try, handsome!!!

I admire your determination not to let Blue on the furniture.  I'm far too soft and all ours get on the furniture

Blue is one of my favourite dogs, he's just so beautiful.  Love the look on his face - "dammit, I've been found out ! "

He really is a beauty isn't he

I hate to say this but he looks too settled there for it to be a first offence, looks like you just found out what he does when your backs are turned

What a lovely photo of the guilty party, Blue is gorgeous. I have to admit my two are allowed on the furniture, but they both know that a cover has to be on the sofa first. Nora

His face says it all! I think it's a look of "maybe I'm going to get away with it this time" It's a great picture

We don't let Casper on the couches, and I'm glad to find out he's not the only one that tries to sneak up when no-one is looking

We gave up - it's too much hassle to try and keep them down!  Love the expression on the face.

He has been at it again! I have spent the whole morning removing him from the living room sofa! We have had him for over 2 years and apart from the first couple of days he has never tried to get on the furniture. Must have decided now he is a veteran he needs his home comforts

If I can't see you you can't see me.....

How nice of you to knit me a pillow shame about the pointy bits

Ha ha now he knows how to do it, you'll never get him off. Millie was like that when i first got her home. She never went on the bed or sofa for weeks, its only when i encouraged her up and she realised she could, and now there is no stopping her

The wee scally wag, there is no stopping him now, every time you go out that door he will be up there like a shot. Nora

Great pictures. It must be an age thing, wee Janie gets up on the back room sofa but has never tried to get on the front room sofa until a few weeks ago and now she slinks on and tries to be invisible, bless her. The thing is though she never looks comfy on it, she is far better on the back room sofa.

Ours aren't allowed on the furniture either.  But sometimes mysterious dog-shaped dents appear on the duvets if the bedroom doors are left opened.  We seldom catch the culprits in the act though.

Brilliant pic of Blue being rumbled.

Love the knitted pillow picture!

Don't you just love the expressions they pull when they're trying to be inconspicuous!

You've had it now!  Lenny didn't even try for 3 years then when I was selling the house he got up on the sofa.  Couldn't believe what he was missing and he's never looked back.  He has the two seater to himself.  If the pillows aren't in the right place he looks over and whines....so I get up and sort them for him.  He then gets up and settles down and sighs in satisfaction. Have I spoilt him a little too much do you think?
