Dogs Trust Article

Hi All
There is a piece about dog racing in the latest "WAG" Dogs Trust Magazine. Its also on their website at:

Poppy's Opinions

Very brief really but it does highlight the plight, that Dogs Trust are working with the industry to improve the lot of racing greyhounds, particularly after they retire. And it finishes by pointing out why they make such wonderful pets. You can also email any comments and they will appear on the Dogs Trust website.

Peter

Brief but interesting article. Good bit at the bottom about what great pets greyhounds make which we all of course know.  We actually went to see the new Dog's Trust Centre in Mount Vernon just for a nosey and were pleasantly surprised how nice it was!  They had a huge sign up saying what great pets Greyhounds and Lurchers make which please us both. We had a look round and there were a number of gorgeous greys that we wanted to take home.  The rehomers face lit up when we said we were interested in greyhounds - shame we can't get another one right now! - one day! - soon hopefully!

I have read the article and left a comment, as in my opion as I am sure that many of will agree with is the breeding, to many dogs for a limited use. Nora

I found this article very interesting and sent them an e-mail with my comments. It's nice to see that they are working with the racing industry to ensure better regulations for the racing dogs.

Keep up the good work I say!

Hazel.
