Milly, my new foster, arrived on Tuesday. She is adorable. She was very nervous when she arrived, but has settled into our routine well and is getting more and more confident each day.
She wet the floor a lot the first day, but has had no accidents since then. She was also a bit wonky on the lead to begin with - bashing into my legs, not sure whether to run or walk, but she seems to be getting the hang of it and once we are five minutes into a walk she is walking perfectly. She seems to like Casper and copes well with his enthusiasm. He has tried a lot to sneak into the bed beside her, but if it gets a bit too much for her she just gets up and goes to the other bed. I found them sleeping together this morning so Casper is obviously making progress with her
She really is just adorable, very affectionate and loving. I just love her to bits already, she is really special.
And I couldn't help slipping in a couple of pictures of Gandalf.... he's another new addition to the family. (Don't worry, the dogs and small furries are kept out of each others way!!!)
Excuse the washing pile, just look at the rabbit!
You can see in this picure his blue ears

Milly looks just like a younger version of my Neo, she is a gorgeous girl but then i suppose i'm biased
Sounds as though she is loving learning all about her new home and i'm sure she will be cosying up to Casper soon enough. They look great together and i think Gandalph is a real cutie
Milly is gorgeous - she looks very similar to Tilly. Do you know what her racing name was if she raced? Maybe they're relatated! Am sure Casper will win her round - how could she refuse?!
Jane , Milly is lovely and so lucky to be fostered by you, she will be well looked after. Casper seems very happy to have a new friend, hope he is keeping well. The bunny is so sweet, what a beautiful colour. Nora

Debbie, i checked the database and her racing name was Conacharm and there was only 4 in the litter. She is so like Neo that i could not resist a wee look!!
Just thought I'd write a wee update on Milly. She is still very timid, but is making progress everyday. She is quite confident with people she sees regularly, my neighbour, family etc but is still very scared of strangers. Her ears go down and if she can avoid them, she will. Casper isn't allowed walks at the moment and at first when we left the house without him she was a bit worried, but I am really proud of her as she seems to be gaining confidence without him and is less timid at greeting other dogs we meet. She really is a sweetheart, very gentle, loving and so pretty Can you tell I'm smitten?
photobucket isn't working just now, so I'll post some more pictures of her when I can

Its good to hear she's becoming less nervous, she looked lovely in her original post. A piccie of her and Casper together would be nice when you get your photobucket up and running

Milly's gorgeous - and so is Gandalf! No wonder Casper is smitten. It sounds as if Millie's settling in really well. I'm looking forward to hearing more about them all.
How gorgeous is the pic with them in bed together?!!! Casper looks slightly miffed that you've taken a pic of him in bed with Milly - that's his street cred gone out the window! Seriously it's great to see them getting on so well after a short space of time.
Thank you for all the good wishes. Indiana is loving his new friend! After some initial teething problems (I had to install a baby gate to stop Indiana nicking Milly's food), the pair of them now seem inseparable. A big thanks to Jane for all her hard work. Milly is so much better behaved than Indiana. Unfortunately, he seems to have taught her the 'steal the mittens' trick and the 'jump on Alexis when alarm goes off' trick. I just hope her good influence will eventually rub off on him! I am amazed how well they walk together too. Jane kindly said I could change her name as she probably wouldn't respond to my Glasgow accent with her name anyway. So after much thought Milly has become...Tigerlily!
I'll keep you all updated with the gossip. I'll have to post photos of the pair of them under the Christmas tree. Can't wait!
Congratulations on your new arrival Alexis, i love her new name and it's great that they are getting on so well already. looking forward to seeing loads of pics!!
Hey I think you are a stunning boy and very lucky to end up in your lovely new home with great owners.
So pleased to hear you now have a girlfriend to keep you in order!!!! . But you ma says you have been teaching her new habits. But I'm sure the gf has been teaching you a fewnew good things.
Tell her I'm pleased that she had joinedyou and the 'west end branch of GAL' lol pssss!!!us west end hounds and owners will need to meet up for a secret walk down Byres Road lol very soon
I'm very pleased to have an older woman with me. Just one complaint - she always beats me to the couch! Definitely looking forward to a Byres Road saunter. That would be a sight to behold - all gorgeous greyhounds showing the west end pooches a thing or two about how to look good. Say hi to Clio for me.
