I was just looking at the Kennel Fund site and I wondered if the £20k target for year one had been reached yet?!

Is that including the (somewhat measly) amount that I spent on bricks for the wall about a week or two ago.  They haven't appeared as yet and I was wondering if there had been a problem with my payment going through.

That's fantastic that we are so near the target (and still 2 months to go). I have over £100 to add from selling my home made cards - I'll be handing in to Dave at the Christmas Show.


It would be good if the Kennel Club website was updated with the end of October total as it's still showing the figure for August.

I just think it is so fantastic that with 1 month to go before the end of the year, the target has been reached.
£20,000 is a lot of money and it has been raised by the most dedicated people in the most imaginative ways.
I think everyone who organised all the events of the last year and put in the work behind the scenes should be congratulated!!

Hi Folks, just to confirm the balance of the Kennel Fund account is now in excess of £21K........I can't beleive I'm writing that total after only 11 months of hard work. The people who have helped us to reach this years target are too numerous to mention here so I'd just like to say a 'global' thanks to everyone who's given up their spare time and / or hard earned cash to move GAL one step closer to our dream.


As we get into November and December the new committee will be hatching new plots and schemes for 2007 so please watch this space, we've a few very unique fundraising plans up our sleeves which we hope you'll enjoy and participate in.


So, 1 year and £21K down, 2 years and another £39K to go, I'm sure GAL can make it with you guys help...

I'm staggered, I really am. To raise £21k on top of all the other running costs of GAL is absolutely phenomenal, awe-inspiring and humbling. Here's to 2007 and another cracking year of fund-raising.

That is absolutely fantastic news!!! Everyone should give themselves and their hounds a pat on the back for a lot of hard work and not forgeting a lot of fun raising so much money.  Can't wait to hear all these great new fundraising ideas!  Here's to an even more successful 2007!
