Branston is looking great and thoroughly enjoying being in his foster home. He looks a bit like Vegas, so much so that I asked Dave a while back if he was a Han**** Lurcher too! But he's not. Oh I really hope a wonderful new home turns up for him soon! Thanks for letting us know how he's getting on - and his photos are super!
He is sooooooooooooo gorgeous! Well done with the fostering, I don't know how you all do it. I would have a house full - I'd never be able to let them go. You are wonderful, all of you who do the fostering.
Branston kept me company in the garden this morning while i hung out the washing...but soon decided that was boring and football was far more fun
He's such a fun loving big guy, all the foster dogs i've had up until now have been half his age, but Bran could show them a thing or two when it comes to playing.
but he also does "cute" very well too....
He's been here for about 5 months now but it feels like he's been here forever! he's come on leaps and bounds with the fear aggression too and he's due to have an appointment with Viv in the near future to help with this too.
once i master the video function on the camera I'll try and post it.
Branston's photos are wonderful - he's having so much fun playing with anything he can get his paws on! I'm delighted he's getting better with other dogs and I'm sure that Viv can help him with this too. But you're doing a terrific job with him already. Fingers crossed that a new home for him is just around the corner - he really deserves it!
Siouxsie, the wall is about 3 feet and there's stairs leading up to the top part of the garden, vaulting however appears to be Branston's preferred method of getting up and down! i think he just likes showing off and showing how spritely he is!
Wow.....how happy does Branston look.....?? What a wonderful job you are doing with him and doesnt it show! Well done Karen, what a credit to all your hard work. He is sooooooo handsome xx

Very impressive all the same and folk think 8 years old is TOO old
my friend and her wee girl came round to visit today and Branston just loved showing off how clever he is (the hotdogs were a bit of an incentive of course)
What fantastic photographs of Branston, I agree with previous reply that the photos will make excellent evidence of what a lovely dog branston is. Hopefully he will find a permanent home soon, Im sure he will make his new owners very happy.
thanks everyone for the lovely comments on Branston. the pics just give a wee glimpse of what a fantastic dog he really is. i must admit, when Carol phoned me and asked me to take him, i had some reservations as his reputation preceded him and he is quite a big lad but i'm so glad i did now. He is such a character, really smart, full of fun (you would never believe he was 8!) fantastic in the house and is so loving (he loves nothing better than cuddling in on the couch)
I took him over to Viv's a couple of weeks ago and he now uses a gentle leader, which has proven nothing short of a marvel. it's such a difference taking him for a walk now and he seems much calmer when we're out and about. its been great observing his progress with the fear aggression, there's a miniature schnauzer that lives next door, that has been his sworn nemesis since the day Branston moved in; the other day i was taking Branston out and the wee dog was just in front of the house, there was lots of eye contact between them, and i'm sure there was dirty harry music playing in the background, but Branston never flinched or barked. i was so proud of him! lots of praise and hotdogs that day!
its such a shame that he's waited so long for his forever home as apart from the fear aggression which is manageable, he would make someone such a fantastic pet.
