So thrilled that Sanna has shown the tiniest bit of improvement already, and i hope it continues for all your sakes.
Stay strong and positive and enjoy your visit with her tomorrow as much as you can. thoughts and prayers are with you all and my heart really goes out to you.
Just caught up on this thread and wanted to add our thoughts and good wishes to the rest! Hopefully the small (but significant) improvement Sanna's had today will turn into a major one tomorrow!!! Slow but sure! Good luck Sanna, keep fighting!
Just a wee note to let you know how Sanna is getting on with physio, she has filled my life with joy again as she is responding ever so well, she gets put in a hoist 5-6 times a day to try and strenghthen her legs and she,s getting some feeling back in them even this soon, she has pulled the katheter out and they are going to see how she gets on in that dept today...weeing etc;I am thrilled with her progress and so are the nurses and the vet is really chuffed with her,We spent the weekend up at the vet school and she is mentally there and a bit more which is a great sign, she went wild wen she seen myself and james..yipeeee my baby gonny get home eventually.
Can i just say a massive THANKS to all the kind words and all the prayers that were given for Sanna ,they have been answered so and a :worship;to all of you..
We get a daily report from the vet every morning and they say she might get home in a few wks, as i can do the physio at home and we just use 2 slings to toilet her just for now till she gets stronger .I dont care how long it takes but at least we have her still here and can give her all the TLC and help she is needed, but so far she is doing remarkably well. The staff their are so dedicated to their job and the animals Sanna continues to wag her tail at them which is quite unusual for her,we met the vets resident greyhounds on Saturday john, judy and ranger they keep them well and practise doin ultra-sounds for the students to learn and also use them as Blood Donors, they are well looked after and walked on their lovely grounds,i took all the dogs up pigs ears on Sunday as a treat for them,,,,lol i,m in the good books with the pooches.
I will let you all know how our princess is getting on as soon as we get more news.again to all our Buddies hugs n lix from Sanna n Badger also Amen xx

Your montage is lovely - what a bonny couple of dogs you have. I'm thrilled to bits that Sanna is responding as well as she is. You will all continue to be in our thoughts.
Oooh! That made me howl and NOT because I mistakenly got married to that music.. The piccies of her in hospital just cracked me up - she look alert though which is fab! I do hope Sanna continues to get better. Tail wagging is definately a great sign!! All fingers and paws crossed for a speedy recovery. Glad to hear that there are resident Greys at the Dick - Grey understanding/adoration is worth millions to Sannas recovery!
It makes me so happy to read all the posts concerning Sanna. Ive never met the girl but I feel I know her. I did have the privelage of meeting Badger and seeing just how loves Sanna makes me see just how special she is. I am so, so pleased at the progress and good news Mel. Indeed a lot of prayers have been said, so that answers the age old question Why are we here? To look after greyhounds of course and give them all our love. You will continue to be in our thoughts. Lots of love from Lindsay and Helen x and Dylan x Kiera x and Millie x
What a great montage, Mel! And it's all the more sweet that Sanna will soon be home with you. We're all hoping here that Sanna continues to get well. She's such a plucky wee thing! It's GREAT news she's doing so well. Thanks for letting us know
It's fantastic that she's doing so well! I daren't look at the montage because I know I'll sob my eyes out (not good at work....).
Mel, I meant to tell you about my friend's cat, Toffee. A few months ago, he had a seizure that left him in a coma. When he woke up, he was blind, nearly paralysed, and couldn't make any sounds. The vet suggested that my friend said goodbye, but she wanted to give Toffee every chance. Would you believe, they took him home a few days later to recuperate. He now loves to play in their garden, chase flies, eats his dinner with gusto and laps up the cuddles even more than he did before. I suppose the message is that animals bounce back more readily than we may sometimes believe even with our own eyes.
Here's to much more progress for gorgeous Sanna. :hearts:
I've just caught up with this thread and I cannot begin to imagine what you've been through! It's brilliant that Sanna has made huge progress already and I hope she continues to do so every day. The montage is lovely, both Badger and Sanna are beautiful dogs
My thoughts are with you and my fingers crossed for more improvement.
Jane
