I meant to post these pictures of Casper after his surgery ages ago and update everyone on what is happening with him. I dropped Casper off at my own vet for more xrays this morning Basically at this stage after surgery he should be doing well and able to exercise. I started exercising him two weeks after the op, as Glasgow Vet School told me to, but was unable to build his walks up to any length of time because he was in pain and not using his leg. So we went back to the vets again and my vet is unhappy because he should be better than he was before the operation - not worse! They have no idea what is causing the problem, as it could be a number of things, the pins that were left in, his almost torn cruiciate ligament, or his severe arthritis or maybe something new!
I am due back at the vet school in a couple of weeks but my vet is trying to get me an appointment sooner so we can see why he is worse than before. As well as all the problems with his leg, he has lost weight again, is losing his hair (which started before surgery) and is being sick on the pain killers he is getting. I am now giving him antepsin twice a day which lines his stomach before he gets the pain killers. I am obviously worried about him, but am sort of used to everything going wrong for Casper now
Anyway, here are the pictures of him after his surgery. My poor wee baby
I shouldn't laugh at this one really, he couldn't get comfy and when I saw him sitting like that I had to take a picture

Poor Casper - give him a hug from us. Hope you manage to find out what's causing him all the pain and discomfort soon.
Tilly sends licks and hugs for him. Am sure Milly is giving him plenty of licks and hugs to make him feel better, but greys can never have too many hugs can they?!
Poor Casper, he looks so sorry for himself. I hope they find out what his problem is so he can begin to get on the mend. Im sure having Milly as a pal has cheered him up Lovely pics

Just caught up with these photo's. poor Casper, he really does not look comfy and has the real typical sad greyhound look that just melts your heart. Hope it all starts to sort itself out soon for all your sakes. Big hugs from us all. x
Ach, bless - poor brave soul. I hope the vet gets his/her finger out and finds out what is at the root of this. It's such a horrible thought that they are uncomfortable and/or in pain.
Give Casper a big hug from me and a doggy kiss from my gang.
Thanks for the update, he looks so sorry for himself and in discomfort. Lets hope that you get an appointment soon and they can help the poor wee mite. Lots of hugs. Nora

Just to add the Gibson gang's love and hugs to Casper, poor soul. Hope you get to the bottom of his problems soon - it's a time of much worry and upset for yourselves as well.
