Had Sally to the vet earlier this week as she looked a bit inflamed and swollen around her "unmentionable". Vet seems to think it is a Polyp and says it is unusual to see this on a dog of Sally's age (she is only three). Anyway i have antibiotics and anti- inflammatories for her and have to go back next Thursday, vet will take another look but she will probably have to go in to have the lump removed and tested. He did say that in a dog of Sally's age that he would expect it not to be cancerous and for me not to worry......Easier said than done!!
He did say it could have been caused by trauma and asked if Neo had shown any interest in her The thought never even crossed my mind as i have never seen any behaviour of that sort out of either of them and they are hardly ever left alone, so unless they are being EXTREMELY discreet i think it's unlikely. I'm sure if there was anything like that going on i would see some signs, wouldn't i?
Haven't had anything like with oor lot, but I do know it was obvious Kai wanted to Dexter when we first got him. (As for girly/fufu bits av hud enough to last a lifetime with Abbey's!)
Not much help a know, anyhoo hope Sally is on the mend soon.
Sally just been back to vet for the third time with this polyp!!
It's been two whole weeks of four different types of medication, including steriods, but nope the damn thing won't shrink so she will be going in next Thursday for an op to remove it
Although it does not seem to be bothering her in the slightest, she definately knows it's there and is a bit sensitive if it's touched. The vet is convinced it is a polyp and nothing sinister so she should be on the mend soon thankfully.
That's good news from the vet, that he doesn't think it's anything bad. Poor Sally though, it's a shame they can't just hand out some magic cream or something to put on it to make it all better.
If anyone EVER finds this magic cream, please put my name down for a vat of it! We could definately do with some of that!!
It's a pity none of the medication has worked however I'm glad to hear Sally will be sorted out soon.
Wills is much the same with the "thing" on his tongue which seems to be mystifying the vets. It has grown slightly (can tell because he seems to be more aware of the presence) but I'm hoping it stays like this so that he doesn't have to get it removed. It's more risky with his diabetes.
