It's that time again! We are having our annual can collection on Princes Street on Dec. 10th starting at 12pm until 2pm (unless we have many volunteers!)
We will be meeting outside Costa Coffee at Waverley Market (East end of Princes Street) about 11.45am
Would have loved to come through for this one but my son obviously shares his Birthday with Amanda's daughter. Will definately try to travel through for the next one though.
I might be able to come (Have done the last 2 years in Princes Street and it was really good) but I am not sure because our son gets the keys to his new flat on Friday 8th and we might be involved in removal activities on the Sunday. Still Timmy and I will try to get along if we can.
Come on folks- who else is up for making Edinburgh Christmas Shoppers day by letting them meet our beautiful hounds and getting to find out more about them as well as raising funds for GAL?
Good luck for today everyone....hope you raise lots of money and plenty of applications come in after the public get to meet all your fantastic festive hounds
Timmy is shattered after his 2 hour stint. He got part of a can of Guinnness (his favourite treat) as a reward when he came home and since then he has been flaked out in his bed.
People were very generous and friendly. So I hope we raised a fair amount of money.
Having to apologise for not posting here earlier (due to a bit of a crisis at home). Just a quick thanks to all who shaked the cans today in the miserable Edinburgh weather (i will mention names later) and a great big thanks to all the wonderful hounds that were brilliant. I was going to start the count now but deciding that with how tired i am feeling, it would probably be best for the morning - so i will post here tomorrow and let you all know of the amount raised today.
A Big Thank You and Well Done to Rhona with Sophie, Landess with Sunny, Jennifer with Millie and Barney, Sheila with Timmy, Claire and Graham with Tara and Zak, Steve with Roscoe and Jess and Sha and Catherine - you all did wonderfully yesterday
And now to let you all you the grand total raised was £825.15
big thanks to everyone who turned up yesterday to lend a hand, much appreciated, thats a great total considering the awful weather yesterday, well done!
Did any of the dogs look festive? and are there any pics
Yes. Millie and Willow (ex Barney) had their santa jackets on and millie her xmas scarf! I took my camera but forgot to take any pics. Siouxsie took one of on her phone of Willow resting his head on Millie's back which was quite sweet but dont know if she'll be able to get it on pc

HUGE congratulations to all. Was the weather in Edinburgh as lousy as the west coast then? What a brave (and hardy) bunch and what a fantastic amount raised!
