Hi all :

This is a long over due quick post to introduce our latest foster dog Mollie.  Had waited a little while as we had heard such mixed stories about this old lady that we wanted to be sure what she was like.  As it turns out, now that she is no longer having to bear the burden of being a pack leader she has proven to be an absolute darling.   She is slightly overweight but has started running a little bit with Murphy and that is slowley trimming her down.  Mollie dosn't ask for much attention during a day (occassional pet and whatever food you put down) and can be seen here in her favourite position having found the cosiest place to lie.

This old lady has a lot of life left in her yet and has started showing signs of initiating play with Murphy.  She barks occasionaly the first time she meets a new dog (with tail wagging  ) but settles down quite quickly and tends to just trot along at your side.  Recall is no problem with Mollie, on the few occasions that she does wander more than her usual few meters from your side then she has always come as soon as called.

She has been very good with our two cats and will generaly pay them no attention at all (so can anyone tell me why the dumb cats still feell the need to hiss as they pass a dog and draw attention to themselves).

I think Mollie would make an ideal dog for anyone who wants a real friend without too much bounce & pounce.  Warning - she does have a very insistant nose when she wants petted and will simply lift your hand onto her head to help you along

Mollie's lovely - her coat is so glossy! She's a wise girl too - finding a cosy spot to lie and snooze. Hope to hear more about her - she sounds such a gentle soul - and obedient! All the best with her.

Thanks for posting pics of Mollie. She looks likes shes settled in quite comfortably.

For people reading this post about Mollie - I can vouch for everything Fiona says. I've known Mollie for years and she's an absolute darling. She would make a fabulous addition to any hound family, and whats even better is- shes cat safe! so please dont be put off because of her age, she'll just love you and love you and love you..... .

oohh she is lovely. How old is she? I love the oldies - really couldn't cope with all the bounce of a younger dog.
