Steve and I are well and truly back from our wedding/honeymoon on the beautiful island of Hawaii. It was wonderful, very private and special and just as we wanted it to be. Hawaii is an amazing place and we absolutely made the right decision to go off and get married there. Our apartment (or, as they say in America, our condo) was stunning and we had the most incredible view of the pacific ocean about 30 feet below us. Every day we'd sit on our balcony and watch the surfers in the waves, or dolphins spinning and jumping across the bay, or spy on the sea turtles sunbathing on the rocks. Needless to say, we had to drag ourselves away to come back to rainy old Scotland. If it wasn't for the dogs, that is!
As for them, Harry and Pearly very much enjoyed their holiday with Carole and Bill and Smokey and Bertie. Pearly was a wee monkey and managed to discover the sofa, whereupon every time Carole turned her back naughtly little Pearly was up and snuggled down faster than, well, faster than a greyhound, really.... It was exciting picking them up again to take them home. They'd obviously been fast asleep when we arrived (they had that look about them, bless them) so it took them a good 10-15 seconds or so for them to get our scent and realise it was us. Then the wagging tails would have taken an eye or two out if we weren't careful! We've been surprised and pleased at how quickly they've slotted back into our home routine again. It's as if we were never away, they've been that good.
I'm sure there has been loads of exciting things on the go on the GAL front. Not sure that we'll have time to backtrack and read everyone's backdated news! Hope everyone is well and that Christmas and New Year were a fun time for everyone.
Here's to a corking 2007 full of all good things for all!
Welcome home! Sounds like you had a great time (and the dogs too!). You didn't miss much here, just rain...and wind...and rain...and wind...oh, and of course the mud! But after all the sun, blue skies and beautiful clear seas I'm sure you are happy to be back.
I enjoy a holiday but, it has to be said, my favourite part is coming home and seeing my dogs. From the second we touch down, I'm sooo impatient to get home. You can't beat the wagging tails, grinning faces and sheer joy that you are subjected to!
Welcome back and congratulations on your marrige, about time he made an honest woman of you. Your honeymoon sounded fantastic. Sounds like your all happy to be back together as the Williams Family. Nora

I didn't realise where you had got to! I guess I've had a busy time too, with my traumas and moving house now I'm up to my neck in painting and decorating. I for one am glad to see you both back and to hear all about Princess Pearly and Handsome Harry! It is so lovely to get the huge return from holiday greet (but it sure makes me feel bad for going away without my boy!).
Congratulations to you both, i'm so glad it lived up to all your expectations and you had a holiday to remember. Harry and Pearly must have been so glad to see you.
Wishing you both a long and happy life together. x
