Apologies for title of this post - Received a call from a vets this morning, a young female Greyhound was handed into be PTS by her trainer, she's Black & White in colour, aged 4 years & 5 months, female, not neutered and just lovely apparently. Her racing name was ''FREE BEER'' - This dog will be PTS tomorrow afternoon as the vet hasn't the space to accomodate the dog. If you can help with this very very urgent foster appeal please emali david@gal.org.uk ASAP.

THANKS.

I'm glad someone could step in and help.  I'd love to be in a position to do that (would as long as Graeme wasn't at home) should an emergency like that arise.  I don't know if it would be particularly helpful as I work full time and there's no-one at home.  I walk them before work, lunch time and after work but it's the periods in between that might cause problems.

should probably have added a big thanks to the staff at Ballantyne & Martins in Kirkintilloch for giving me the call in the first place and giving the dog a chance at a new life. This one got me thinking, next time your in your vets please check that they have a GAL poster on their notice board, if they don't then ask them if they would like one!
